Installation 1. Place the appropriate IonTec™ capsule package into
your skimmer basket.• 1 capsule per 5000 gallons / 18,900 liters for pools• 1 capsule per 500 gallons / 190 liters for spas/hot tubs
2. Maintain standard pool operations for one (1) week.• Maintain pH level between 7.0 - 7.6
3. Reduce chlorine by 50% each week:• Standard pool or spa chlorine level is 3.0 ppm• Second week reduce chlorine level to 1.5 ppm• Third week reduce chlorine level to .7 ppm• Fourth week reduce chlorine level to .35 ppm• And so on until chlorine level is approximately .01 ppm
It’s that Simple! Our team will provide you with written instructions for the IonTec™ transition. Depending upon source water characteristics and conditions, the process to achieve 100% ionization in a pool or spa takes approximately 4-5 weeks.
