Why you need a Google Places Page

― It’s easy and free!!

― 97% of consumers search for local businesses online

― Google Places are listed on the first page of results for locally-based

searches like park, gym, and pool

― Get analytics on how many times people are viewing your posting and

clicking through

― Your page will tie directly to Google Maps to offer directions for searchers

who find your facility

― You can add pictures and videos to visually attract searchers

― Reviews can be posted to give searchers an organic view of what you offer

How to Claim a Listing

10. Verification: Sometimes Phone or SMS verification will not be available –

Google limits this to listings where there’s a high level of confidence that the

business is real. Alternatively, if you are creating a new listing or the current

listing information doesn’t check out exactly, you will be required to do post

card verification which takes 2 to 3 weeks
