Reporting

Getting Started with Information Reporting

Introduction

CashPro Accelerate® Express is a unique spreadsheet solution that helps companies of virtually all sizes calculate their cash position on an automated basis. Its integration with CashPro® Online enables automated retrieval of account information and updates of cash position worksheets for one account or multiple accounts. CashPro Accelerate Express incorporates all Microsoft Excel® features.

Installation

Accelerate Express is installed on a computer via an installation Wizard. The Wizard must be installed before proceeding.

To download the CashPro Accelerate Installation Guide and the CashPro Accelerate Wizard, complete the following:

1. Log in to CashPro Online.

2. Click CashPro University. The CashPro University home page displays.

3. Click Reporting. The Reporting page displays.

4. Click CashPro Accelerate within Reporting Overview.

5. Click Learn More within CashPro Accelerate. The CashPro Accelerate page displays.

6. Open the CashPro Accelerate Installation Guide by clicking the PDF icon ( ). This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing Accelerate Express.

7. Open the CashPro Accelerate Wizard by clicking the download icon ( ). The file download screen displays.

Note: The Wizard downloads as a zipped file.

8. Click Save.

9. Select the location to to which you wish to save the file.

10. Complete the installation process.

This completes the procedure.

Accelerate Toolbar

After CashPro Accelerate is installed, the Accelerate toolbar displays. This toolbar allows access to various functions within Accelerate. The toolbar can be located as follows:

▪ For Excel 2003 users, the toolbar located directly above the worksheet.

▪ For Excel 2007 users, the toolbar located within Add-Ins on the Excel menu bar.

Settings Overview

You must complete steps within Settings within the Accelerate tab on your menu.

Settings allow basic settings to be configured for your CashPro Accelerate worksheet.

To complete the setup, review the following Settings:Setting FunctionCashPro Data Allows key data settings to be defined

CashPro Web Service

Synchronizes a company’s CashPro Online credentials with CashPro Accelerate

Account Management

Allows the selection of the accounts you wish to be reported in the spreadsheets

Account Groups Allows account groups to be set up for reporting purposes within the CashPro Accelerate workbook

Security Allows the user to password protect the entire workbook, restricting the application and its data

About Displays the version of CashPro Accelerate

Configuring CashPro Data Settings

CashPro Data settings allow key data settings to be defined. The downloaded data is stored in an encrypted format on your computer. The amount of data retained is dependent on the storage of the computer.

To configure CashPro Data Settings, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Click Settings. The Settings tabs display.

4. Click CashPro Data.

5. Select the Delete CashPro data after check box.

6. Select the desired number from the Days drop-down menu.

7. Select the Include Saturday & Sunday check box to calculate balances on these days.

8. Select the desired option from the Default Currency drop-down menu.

Notes: The default currency field allows a default currency to display for all worksheets. Worksheets auto-convert data based on currency rates that are downloaded daily.

9. Click Change to navigate to the desired data location.

10. Click OK.

This completes the procedure.

Configuring CashPro Web Service Settings

CashPro Web Service settings synchronize your company’s CashPro Online Customer ID and password with CashPro Accelerate.

To configure CashPro Web Service settings, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Settings. The Settings tabs display.

4. Click the CashPro Web Service tab.

5. Select the Automatically download CashPro data daily at check box to schedule a download at a specific time using the Auto-Get Service.

Note: This setting will be unavailable for selection if the Auto-Get option was not checked during the installation process. In order to install this service after the Accelerate installation, follow the instructions to change the Accelerate installation.

6. Select the time the download should occur from the drop-down menu.

Notes:

▪ The selected time coincides with the time on the local computer.

▪ For Accelerate to download the data, Excel does not need to be open. However, the only requirement is for the PC to be connected to the network and internet.

7. Select the Automatically update sheet after each download check box to update worksheets after each download.

Note: If you select this check box, you do not need to manually update after performing a Get. Refer to Performing a Get .

8. Select the Disable Download of Outstanding Issues check box to disable the downloading of Outstanding Checks during the Get process.

9. Select the Disable Download of Same-Day Data check box to disable the downloading of Same-Day account information during the Get process.

10. Enter the CashPro Customer ID, User ID, and Password within CashPro Account Settings.

Note: The password must match your CashPro Online password.

11. Enter the proxy information within Proxy Server, if applicable.

Note: To receive this information, contact your company’s Information Technology department.

12. Click OK.

This completes the procedure.

Accessing Account Management

Account Management allows you to select the accounts you wish to be reported in the worksheets.

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Settings from the drop-down menu. The Settings tab displays.

4. Click the Account Management tab. Available accounts display.

Note: The list displays your entitled CashPro Online Information Reporting accounts.

5. Does the desired account display?If... Then...Yes Go to step 6.No a. Ask your Primary Administrator or entitled Application Administrator to entitle you to

the desired Information Reporting account(s).

b. Perform a Get to add the account. Refer to Performing a Get for more information.

c. Go to step 6.

6. Click OK.

This completes the procedure.

Accessing Account Groups

Account Groups can be set up for reporting purposes within your CashPro Accelerate workbook.

To access Account Groups, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Settings from the drop-down menu. The Settings tab displays.

4. Click the Account Groups tab. The Account Groups screen displays.

5. Click New to create a group.

6. Assign a Name to the group.

7. Click Add and/or Remove to move an account from the Available list to the Included list.

8. Click OK.

This competes the procedure.

Accessing Security Settings

Security settings allow you to password protect the entire workbook, restricting the application and its data. The password can be synchronized with the CashPro Online password, or it can be different.

To access Security Settings, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Click Settings. The Settings tabs display.

4. Click Security.

5. Select the desired password security option:

Notes:

▪ To reset the Company Key, click Reset Company Key.

▪ If you reset the Company Key, each user must also reset his or her Company Key to match.Option Description1 a. Select the Protect worksheet with CashPro password check box.

b. Click OK.

This completes the procedure.2 a. Enter the password in the Enter Your Own Password field.

▪ Re-enter the password in the Confirm password field.

Note: To remove the password, select Clear Password Security.

b. Click OK.

Functions Overview

Functions allow access to view the cash position. Functions are located under the CashPro Accelerate toolbar menu:Functions ResultsGet Connects to CashPro Online to retrieve Same-Day and Previous-Day account information Import Data Allows historic account data to be imported into CashPro Accelerate and stored within

Performing a Get

The Get function connects to CashPro Online to retrieve Same-Day and Previous-Day account information. This information is stored locally in an encrypted format on your computer.

To perform a Get, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Click Add-Ins on the Microsoft Excel toolbar. A list of Add-In functions displays.

3. Click Get within Custom Toolbars.

4. Complete one of the following:To... Then...Execute the first Get of the day

a. Select Get to download the following:

▪ Same-Day account information

▪ Previous-Day account information

▪ Outstanding Checks Issues (if applicable)

▪ Currency Exchange rates

A message displays with the status of the request.

b. Click OK.

c. Is the Automatically update sheet after each download check box selected within Settings > CashPro Web Service?

If... Then...Yes Wait for the update to complete.No i. Click Populate.

ii. Select Update All.

Note: A status displays in the lower-left corner.

This completes the procedure.Execute subsequent Gets to update Same-Day account information only

a. Select Get. A confirmation window displays.

b. Click OK.

Performing a Get Historical Data

The Get Historical Data function connects to CashPro Online to retrieve Same-Day and Previous-Day account information within CashPro Accelerate. This information is stored in an encrypted format on your computer.

To perform a Get Historical Data, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Click Add-Ins on the Microsoft Excel® toolbar. A list of Add-In functions displays.

3. Click Retrieve within Custom Toolbars. The Retrieve drop-down menu displays.

4. Complete one of the following:To... Then...Execute Previous-Day Historical request

a. Select Get Historical Data. A Select Data Range window displays with an option to select Same-Day or Previous-Day.

a. Sele ct the date or date range you wish to down load.

b. Select Previous-Day.

c. Click OK.

Note:

▪ The Previous-Day request is limited to 60 days at one time.

▪ The lower-left of the workbook shows the progress of the request.

This completes the procedure.Execute Same-Day Historical request

a. Select Get Historical Data. A Select Data Range window displays with an option to select Same-Day or Previous-Day.

b. Select the date or date range you wish to download.

c. Select Same-Day.

d. Click OK.

Notes:

▪ The Same-Day historical request is limited to 10 days.

▪ The lower-left of the workbook shows the progress of the request.

This completes the procedure.

Importing Data

The Import Data function allows account data to be imported into CashPro Accelerate and stored within the data file directory. Previous-Day and/or Same-Day information may be imported. The Repopulate function may be used to view the imported data within the worksheet. Refer to Performing a Repopulate for more information.

Important: Before the data can be imported, it must be exported in Bank Administration Institute (BAI) format from CashPro Online.

Exporting Data in BAI Format

To export the data from CashPro Online, complete the following:

1. Go to CashPro Online.

2. Click Reporting > Legacy Reporting.

3. Do you wish to import Previous-Day or Same-Day account information? For... Then...Previous-Day a. Click Previous-Day. The Previous-Day Balance Report displays.

b. Go to step 4.Same-Day a. Click Same-Day. The Same-Day Balance Report displays.

b. Go to step 4.

4. Enter an activity date in the From Date and To Date fields within Query.

Note: Accelerate can import only one day at a time. Therefore, only a single day’s activity should be entered.

5. Select the account(s) to include in the export file within Account Number.

6. Select BAI Output from the File Output drop-down menu.

7. Click Export. The BAI Output screen displays.

8. Click Download BAI File.

9. Click Save.

10. Enter a file name.

11. Select the location to which you wish to save the file.

12. Click Save.

This completes the procedure.

Importing Data

To import data into the Accelerate worksheet, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Click Retrieve from the Accelerate functions toolbar. A list of Retrieve functions displays.

3. Select Import Data.

4. Select the previously created BAI output file.

5. Click Open to initiate the import process.

6. Click OK. A message displays confirming the data was imported.

Notes:

▪ To view the imported account activity, a Repopulate must be performed. Refer to Performing a Repopulate for more information.

▪ If imported data exists for any dates following the last time an update was performed, an update must be performed. Refer to Performing an Update for more information.

7. Repeat steps 1 – 6 to import data for more than one day.

This completes the procedure.

Performing an Update

The Update function populates the CashPro Accelerate worksheet(s) with the data downloaded via the Get function.

Important: The Update function must be performed after each Get to view the retrieved account information. If the Automatically update sheet after each download check box in the CashPro Web Service Settings is selected, the following steps are not required.

To perform an Update, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Click Populate from the Accelerate toolbar. A list of Populate functions displays.

Notes:

▪ To update the entire workbook, select Update All. The worksheets update with data information.

▪ To update the current sheet, select Update Current Sheet. The worksheet updates with data information.

▪ After each Get, select Update All.

This completes the procedure.

Performing a Repopulate

The Repopulate function populates the CashPro Accelerate worksheet(s) with the date(s) selected. The option is available to Repopulate All worksheets in the workbook or to Repopulate only the current sheet.

Important: If the dates for the information already display in the worksheet, perform a Repopulate. If the dates for the information do not display in the worksheet, perform an Update.

To perform the Repopulate function, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Click Populate from the Accelerate toolbar. A list of Populate functions display.

3. Complete one of the following:To... Then...Repopulate the entire workbook

a. Select Repopulate All. The worksheets update with the data information.

b. Go to step 4.Repopulate the current sheet

a. Select Repopulate Current Sheet. The worksheet updates with the data information.

b. Go to step 4.

4. Complete one of the following:To... Then...Select a range of dates

a. Select a Start Date from the drop-down menu.

b. Select an End Date from the drop-down menu. The Date range populates the worksheet.

c. Go to step 5.Select all dates a. Select the Include all available dates check box.

b. Go to step 5.

5. Click OK to view updated account activity.

This completes the procedure.

Adding or Deleting a Worksheet

To add or delete a worksheet, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Choose one of the following:To... Then...Add a Worksheet

a. Select the type of worksheet from the Type drop-down menu.

b. Enter the Name of the new worksheet, if applicable.

c. Click OK. The worksheet is added to the Accelerate file as a new tab.

This completes the procedure.Delete a Worksheet

a. Select Delete Sheet. A Delete Sheet confirmation window displays.

b. Click Yes. The worksheet and tab are removed.

This completes the procedure.

Running a Diagnostics Report

To streamline any troubleshooting, Accelerate provides access to a Diagnostic Report that can be viewed on a computer and/or emailed to Bank of America Merrill Lynch for support purposes. When sending the Diagnostic Report to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, use Secured/Encrypted email to protect the data.

To run a Diagnostic report, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Diagnostics from the drop-down menu. The Diagnostics Report screen displays.

Notes:

▪ If the Diagnostic report within Accelerate is not accessible, the report may run via an option from the Windows Start menu.

▪ To run the report from the Windows Start menu, go to Start > Programs > CashPro Accelerate > Diagnostics Tool.

4. Choose one of the following:To... Then...Send the report to Support

Click Send Report to Support. The report attaches to an email.

Note: Your email must be open and active.

This completes the procedure.View the report Click View Report.

This completes the procedure.Close the report Click Close. The Diagnostics Report Display screen displays.

This completes the procedure.

Performing a Snapshot

The Snapshot function allows you to copy the current Accelerate workbook into a new Microsoft Excel workbook. The new workbook allows you to manipulate the data and save the file.

Important: The snapshot saves only the data displayed on the worksheets. It does not save the supporting click through details for the transactions in the worksheet.

To perform a Snapshot, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Snapshot from the drop-down menu.

4. Enter a name for the snapshot.

5. Enter a location to which you wish to save the snapshot.

6. Click Save. The saved workbook is the snapshot of the original workbook.

Note: Detailed data will not be available in the snapshot.

This completes the procedure.

Creating a Backup

CashPro Accelerate allows the creation of data backups as protection against an operating system, Microsoft Excel, or other failure. A backup is performed at the first closing of Accelerate each day. With this option, a backup may be proactively saved at any time.

Note: If significant changes have been made to a workbook, a prompt to perform a backup displays when you exit the application.

To create a backup, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Backup. After the operation is complete, a message displays confirming the backup.

4. Click OK.

This completes the procedure.

Restoring the Application

CashPro Accelerate allows the application to be restored in the event of an operating system, Microsoft Excel, or other failure. CashPro Accelerate may be restored from within the application or from the Start menu.

Important: When restoring from Backup manual entries into worksheets, information may not be available depending on how far back it is restored. It is helpful to create a snapshot prior to this process. Refer to Performing a Snapshot for more information.

To restore the application, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Restore from the drop-down menu. The Restore backup window displays.

Note: To restore from the Start menu, select Start > Programs > CashPro Accelerate > Restore Tool. The Restore backup window displays.

4. Select the Backup file.

Notes:

▪ Bank of America Merrill Lynch recommends you select the file dated the last time Accelerate worked properly.

▪ A backup is performed on the first close of Accelerate.

5. Click Restore. A confirmation window displays.

6. Click Yes. A confirmation window displays indicating the restore is complete. Accelerate closes.

7. Click OK.

This completes the procedure.

Modifying Sheet Settings

The Sheet Settings function allows you to define sheet settings. Each worksheet has settings that can be defined.

To modify the settings for a worksheet, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Current Sheet from the Accelerate functions toolbar.

3. Select Sheet Settings. The Sheet Settings window displays.

Notes:

▪ For Fixed Sheets, define the Accounts, Start Date, Worksheet Currency, and the Weekly and/or Monthly Totals for the sheet.

▪ For Open Sheets, there are no settings available.

4. Complete the desired setting changes.

5. Click OK. A confirmation window displays.

6. Click Yes to update to the worksheet.

This completes the procedure.

Spreadsheet Overview

Spreadsheets allow you to generate information into a desired worksheet. Accelerate Express provides the following spreadsheet options:Spreadsheet FunctionFixed Cash Position Sheet

The Fixed Cash Position Spreadsheets are based on industry best practices and provide a standard cash position calculation.

Open Spreadsheets The Open Spreadsheet allows you to add a fully functional Excel worksheet.Currency The Currency Exchange Rates Spreadsheet retrieves the daily, end of prior day,

and foreign currency rates to allow for easy currency conversion.

Adding a Fixed Cash Position Spreadsheet

The Fixed Cash Position worksheets are based on industry practices and provide a standard cash position calculation. The vertical fixed worksheet displays the dates down the sides. The horizontal fixed worksheet displays the dates across the top. This worksheet is pre-mapped and available after Accelerate is installed.

To add a worksheet, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Add Sheet.

4. Select the desired format from the Type drop-down menu:

▪ Fixed – Horizontal Cash Position and Reconciliation

▪ Fixed – Vertical Cash Position and Reconciliation

5. Click OK. The Sheet Settings box displays.

6. Select the Account(s) to be viewed in the worksheet.

7. Select the Start Date for the worksheet.

8. Select the worksheet Default Currency, if applicable.

9. Select Weekly and/or Monthly Totals for this worksheet, if desired.

This completes the procedure.

Adding an Open Spreadsheet

Open Spreadsheet allows you to add a fully functional Microsoft Excel worksheet. Accelerate data cannot be mapped to these sheets, but the sheets can be used for formulas, graphs, links, or any other Excel functions.

To add an Open Spreadsheet, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Click Accelerate on the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Add Sheet.

4. Select Open Sheet from the Type drop-down menu.

5. Enter a name for this sheet.

6. Click OK.

Note: The Open Sheet displays in a gray tab with the word Open at the end of the entered name.

This completes the procedure.

Viewing the Currency Spreadsheet

The Currency Spreadsheet allows you to add a retrieval of daily, end of prior day foreign currency rates to facilitate easy currency conversion. The rates displayed are Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s internal currency purchase rates. Other worksheets can be linked to the currency worksheet. The currency rate updates on a daily basis without manual intervention.

Important: The provided currency information is for internal informational purposes only and should not be used as a basis for foreign currency transactions.

To view the Currency worksheet, complete the following:

1. Open CashPro Accelerate.

2. Select Accelerate from the Accelerate toolbar.

3. Select Add Sheet from the drop-down menu.

4. Select Currency–Currency Rates from the Type drop-down menu.

5. Navigate to the right within the Accelerate Workbook.

6. Select the corresponding date from the Date drop-down menu.

Notes:
