Don’t we just love this nice weather? I love it! I look forward to Spring each year. It is the time of year when God’s Earth again comes to life with all the beauty of flowers and blossoms and leaves. But it is also the time of year when we are reminded of the greatest love story ever told. It is the time when we celebrate Resurrection Sunday. The time when Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross for the sin of the world. I read this devotional, written by a gentleman named Zach Wood that I would like to share. "3 Words To Never Forget" When He had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. John 19:30 Have you ever heard the words, "I Love You" spoken to you by a person who truly appreciates you and loves you for who you are? Only 3 words, yet they speak immeasurable volumes to the person who receives them. What's even more vital is the fact that these words should be given on a daily basis. If you are in a relationship, especially a marriage, you personally understanding and realize how important it is to feel that love and hear it spoken to you often and hopefully daily. So, why do I keep bringing the word "daily" to mind? Simple. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, spoken 3 vital words from the Cross before He breathed His last breath. He said, "It is Finished." Now, those words are probably spoken each day by millions of people in the day-to-day job environment. The plan is finished, the song is written and finished, the blueprints are finally finished, the long-delayed project is finished, etc. However, when these words were spoken from the parched, cracked lips of the One who died to save us from our sins, they take on a whole new meaning. Jesus went all the way to the Cross and gave up everything He could because of the tremendous Love He had for us. When He said, "It is Finished", He didn't just mean a small job was finished or that He had accomplished something to be printed in tomorrow's newspaper headlines. His words soared through the air, into the Heavens and have been written in God's Holy Word so that we would be reminded today of the wonderful Love that drove Him to sacrifice for our salvation and promise of eternal life. We should never forget the last words out of Jesus' mouth. He wants us to remember those words today because He loved us enough to go all the way to death on the Cross to show just How much He truly loved us. A relationship or marriage may bring the words "I Love You", but Jesus brought those words in a way we'll never be able to comprehend because His love was and is stronger than we can ever imagine. Don't EVER forget how much Jesus loves you. He fulfilled the law so that you and I would have the opportunity to come to know Him personally. He said, "It is Finished"......For YOU!
