Getting Back to Business Programme
This programme is specifically designed to provide employment opportunities for high-calibre individuals who have taken an extended break in their career, facilitating their re-entry into the workplace. Our programme identifies and reskills talented people in IT and business specialities before placing them to work onsite with our clients.

FDM provides award-winning training through our Academy, with each module led by an experienced trainer. The Getting Back to Business Programme is a seven-week course, which focuses on reskilling talented individuals for reintegration into the corporate workplace. Upon completion of the programme, candidates will be employed full time as an FDM Consultant and placed on client site.

3. Assessment DayFollowing successful completion of your telephone interview, you will be invited to an Assessment Centre. The assessment will focus on both your interpersonal and business skill sets. During the assessment you will complete different tasks and exercises so that we can ensure your suitability for the programme. You will gain an understanding of our working environment and get the chance to visit our offices and see the training centre for yourself.
2. Telephone Interview Once you have submitted your application, we will call you to assess your suitability in line with our entry criteria.
HOW TO APPLY
• Looking to return to work after a career break of more than a year
• Have a degree or relevant work experience in business analysis or project management
• Have an interest in becoming a business consultant
• Be able to commit to working for FDM for 2 years after the training
• Be able to work full time in a role within an hour commute of the FDM centre

Mentoring ProgrammeThe Mentoring Programme brings together individuals at all levels of their career journey, providing a unique opportunity to further build on the relationships within FDM’s wider community. We identify suitable pairs and officially match mentors with mentees as well as providing support and guidance for mentors and sharing insight from the mentoring landscape.
Consultant Peer Support (CPS)The CPS Programme ensures newly placed Consultants are connected with a more senior FDM Consultant onsite to help ease their transition. 50+ Consultants are currently representing FDM as CPS Ambassadors across the UK and Europe, and the initiative continues to grow.
Relationship ManagerEach Consultant on-site is assigned to a senior member of FDM staff. The Relationship Manager provides insight and support and allows Consultants to benefit from their considerable commercial and technical experience.
ME+FDM has also developed a bespoke digital application called ME+, which allows our Consultants to set themselves goals and structure their careers in line with their aspirations.
