While at the club last week, I was able to see some

great pictures of some nice turkeys shot in the spring opener of Turkey season. Congratulations to all whom bagged their game.

Sam Mullins has a Walleye tournament date at Toledo Beach in honor of Skip Cohorst of Saturday June 11, 2016. See or call Sam at 248-766-2238 for details.

The Sporting Goods Swap Day was a great success, however it was reported by Jon Lash that a few items came up missing and reminded table owners to watch their tables closely. Thank you Jon.

A couple of dates to remember: Sunday May 8th at Range House 2 blood drive 9am until 3pm see Dennis Donagan; our first Gun Bash Saturday June 4th 2016, tickets still available at the bar. John LaFave is looking for help on set up and during the event on Saturday. On June 3nd Friday Eric Manning is looking for set up help for the NPRC shoot which is on Saturday June 4th.

The Friends of the NRA dinner was a sell out on April 16th 2016. Thank you for all that helped at this event. Dave Sturtz and Ed Curtis presented to the club a nice AR-10 rifle.

The slingers and the archers had their shoot out on Thursday April 14th with a good surprise. For those of you that watch Michigan Out of Doors, Jenny Olsen stopped buy with her camera rolling to film our event. Jenny even had a chance to shoot her own target, with a couple of nice scores. Watch for further details about the air time. On Friday April 15th the slingers shot over at the archer’s house. Let’s just say the slingers retired to the beverage bar after the totals were added up, Archers had a hefty lead. Hey, fun was had by all. Thank you Jim Morphew, Chip Delozier and Tim Loynes.

Come Out and Enjoy Our Club ~ Glenn

Multi- Lakes Cookbook Every family seems to have several cooks whose recipes and special dishes have delighted diners for years and become trademarks at picnics, luncheons and potlucks. Now is the time to honor those cooks by participating in Multi-Lakes cookbook project. Please send those recipes to: [email protected] for publication in the cookbook. You can also drop off clearly printed recipes at the bar with the cooks name on the recipe.

Best regards, Jean Peltier

CAROL’S CORNER The Balls and Shafts went at it hot &

heavy. It was a lot of fun. Balls missed their mark, but so did some of the shafts.

Final: The shafts beat those little balls up. It’s hard to hit those little balls with an arrow in your hand.
