THE 700 CLUB CANADA

I’ve been fascinated over the last little while by just how much it requires to give birth to a dream. I am immediately drawn to Mary, Jesus’ mother, who epitomizes the perfect characteristics that bring a dream into reality. I believe that part of the reason why God chose her was because of what she already had, and because of who God knew she would become.

Mary had the right perspective. In Luke 1:38 she says, “I am the Lord’s servant.” Mary recognized that she was God’s servant. She was also fiercely protective. Luke 2:19 tells us, But Mary treasured up all these things. The Greek word used for treasure is a word that means “an intense, protective keeping.” Mary’s love for Jesus began before He was born and endured beyond the cross. Guess where we find the last glimpse of Mary? No, not at the cross of her Son, although she was there too; but the last glimpse of Mary was 30 years later when she was faithfully spreading the Gospel in the book of Acts. They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers (Acts 1:14).

God knew who Mary was, and God knew who she would become. These were her only qualifications to become the mother of the Son of God. What are you qualified to give birth to?

TEACHING BY PAT ROBERTSON

Believe and You Will Have

When you find yourself in the middle of a very difficult trial, you probably already know that the Word of God says you are to have faith that He will overcome and bring you the victory. However, it is difficult to bring yourself to have faith when you do not see what God is doing.

In fact, you may have no joy, no peace, and no hope because the circumstances look so terrible. The secret is that if you will dare to start believing and let your heart rise in faith, regardless of what is going on around you and the seeming impossibility of it all turning around, trusting God rather than what your human senses perceive, you will be filled with the hope, joy and peace that you need to sustain you.

Romans 15:13 says, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace (and here is the important part) in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is in the process of “believing” that the hope, joy and peace are engrafted into our hearts. It won’t come to us if we do not choose to believe. When we decide to have faith that God is who He says

He is, we will receive the promised hope, joy and peace which will give us strength for the journey to receive our victory at the appointed time.

Our Father Offers a Bright Future

God has something so absolutely wonderful for us! That is why none of us should ever fear the future. God has it all in His hands. Jesus assures us in Luke 12:32 (nkjv), Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

The future for you and me is nothing but good. Our heavenly Father wants His best for us. And He is going to take care of His people—even in the midst of catastrophic events and trying times. We have the confidence that He knows how to identify those who belong to Him and those who don’t: I will make a clear distinction between my people and your people. Those were God’s words that Moses declared to Pharaoh in Exodus 8:23. And He kept His promise through all the plagues and even the Passover.

And here is the best part. God offers us a glorious eternity, as He said in Daniel 12:3, Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever. You are a part of this! CBN partners have led more than 760 million people to the Lord since we started. We can look forward to a bright future because we’re going to shine like the stars forever and ever!

There is no doubt that your heavenly Father loves you. God didn’t send Jesus to condemn us, but to save us, deliver us and bring us into His kingdom. He is not interested in condemning us. Too many people come under a sense of condemnation. But God is continually reassuring us: “Don’t you understand? Your destiny is to be like the stars, to shine like the glory of the heavens forever.” May He bless you with His wisdom and hope of glory. Scripture is quoted from the NLT, except as noted.

We carry His presence within us

How to Follow in the Father’s Footsteps

will have them.” The world says, “Seeing is believing”—but Hebrews 11:1

says, Faith is … the evidence of things not seen. When you start to realize something is real before you see it, then you have it.

I know what it is like to be dying in a hospital bed of malaria. I know that the symptoms can try to overwhelm any faith you have. It is hard to pray through to the point where you have faith, so that “you know that you know that you know.” When you hit that point of certainty, it’s no more guesswork, wishing, or hoping. It’s true faith.

We need to have simple trust in what Jesus accomplished on Calvary: And by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We may think we’re not worthy, but Jesus says, “I came for you and I love you. If you were the only one, I’d die for you—because you’re worth it. Not only will I save you, I will set up My home and dwell in you.”

So remember: With Jesus I can do all things. Nothing is impossible with Him. I am a child of God and He loves me. I am His and He is mine. He enables me to do good things. When I come into a room, Jesus comes in with me. He will never leave me nor forsake me, and nothing can separate me from His love.

God bless you.Scripture is quoted from the NKJV.

Our Father in heaven always wants to do good things for us. He desires to heal and work miracles for His children. We can receive

all of these things as we listen for His voice and follow His leading.

In John 10:24, people said to Jesus, “If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” He answered, “The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me…. Though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him” (vv. 25, 38). His miracles prove that He is the Messiah.

And where is Jesus now? He says in John 14:23: “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” God has set up shop in us. We have the Godhead dwelling in us—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Wherever we go, we bring God. And Jesus makes this amazing promise in John 14:12: “He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

He gives us the key to miracles in Mark 11:22-24: “Have faith in God. Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you
