GETTING A QUOTE FOR BENCHTOP OR A MAKEOVER

As we have been doing kitchen renovations in Adelaide for over 20 years, we can give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost. Just send us a sketch of your benchtops (See DRAW A PLAN info) and a few photos of your kitchen. Usually 3 or 4 photos will be enough to cover the whole kitchen. It is OK if they lap over as it makes it easier for us to get the overall idea.

So when is a kitchen makeover a good idea?If you are happy with the overall structure of the kitchen and just want a new look you can achieve a great result – this causes less disruption and is more cost effective.

Like to make a few changes – no worries just jot this down on the plan.Our skilled professionals will give you a quick ring before starting the quote to go through your wish list and maybe offer some easy solutions to improve the overall result – a good example is that it is often easy to put new soft closing drawers to replace a cupboard. If you need quite a few changes, you may need to consider a new kitchen. We can help you decide what is best for you as many factors can influence that decision.

What sort of finishes do we offer?Not all materials on offer from other suppliers are manufactured to Australian Standards. At Granite Kitchen Makeovers, we only use Australian High Moisture Resistant (HMR) materials. We offer all levels of finish to satisfy your budget and creative needs. Our designer will discuss this with you when we get your photos. Our in house design / quoting program makes it easy to give you a few options.

DRAWING A PLAN FOR AN ESTIMATE OF A NEW BENCHTOP TO GO OVER AN EXISTING BENCHTOP

1. On the graph paper attached, sketch a plan of your benchtop. Each square is approx 100 mm. DON’T WORRY IF IT IS NOT EXACTLY TO SCALE, however it is easier to draw if you can get it approx right.

2. Mark your measurements as shown on the sample plan below as these are important so we can get your quote as accurate as possible.

3. Using the symbols as shown in the LEGEND below mark the appropriate edge treatments, overhang, walls, location of the sink and cooktop. If you are replacing or relocating them and they are not quite the same size, just put a note on the plan. It is easy for us to alter the opening to suit the new appliance. Mark the existing edge type and approx thickness on the sketch as below.

4. Note: There is an easy solution if the existing edge is rolled etc. but the new stone benchtop will have a modern pencil round finish when finished.

5. If you have a smartphone or camera take a photo as it can be very helpful to us.

6. Bring the plan into our showroom or email it to info@kitchens-sa.com.

SERVERY / UPSTANDIf you would like to keep the servery, draw a plan of this on a separate sheet.

WANT TO REMOVE AND EXTEND? THAT’S EASY!One of our most common alterations to benchtops is to cut this down and extend the benchtop through. If you would like to do this, show the new layout on the plan and note that it needs to be cut down.
