TESTING WEEK REMINDERS! Tesng begins on Tuesday, May 7 and connues through May 17. Parents can help students by ensuring they go to bed early, get a good nights sleep, eat a good breakfast, and arrive at school on me. BSIS will provide breakfast for all students on each morning of tesng in their homeroom class. Students who are absent or tardy on test days will have to make up the tests. Students cannot be dismissed during tesng, so please keep this in mind when scheduling appointments. All 6th graders will need to get the

Tdap vaccine and a dose of Polio

vaccine before starting 7th grade, or

they will NOT be allowed to begin

school in August. Your pediatrician/

doctor, or Spartanburg Health Department can administer them. Send in your child's documented Tdap/Polio

Immunization form to the school for your child's records to

be updated.

The deadline for registration has passed.

However, if your child registered and was

accepted for attendance, please return the

SHARKS CAMP form to accept your spot. If you

do not return the form, your child’s spot will be

given to another child.

To help clear your

child’s attendance,

please use their

PowerSchool infor-

mation to clear up any

unexcused dates for the year. Parents may

bring ID into the front office to receive

PowerSchool password. As a reminder, stu-

dent need to be here 210 minutes a day for

that day to count. If they need to check out

earlier than 11:20 or are brought in to school

after 11:20, please send in a note for that day

also. They are considered truant if they have

3 consecutive unexcused days, 5 or more

unexcused days, over 10 parent notes. You

can find District 5 excuse forms in your child’s

agenda, or on Spart5.net; parents tab; then

forms.
