• Germany is separate into there sections; north, central and southern Germany.
• Germany has three rivers that enter the country.– The Elbe and Rhine river
connect Germany to the sea .
• The area is mostly elevated in southern part while the northern part is flat.

• The Alps are located in Southern Germany, bordering Switzerland and Austria.

• The official language of Germany is German.– Different dialects of German is spoken in

• 64% of Germans are Christians and 31% are Catholic. – 5% of Germans live under another
religion
Customs & Traditions
• Every year during October in Germany's capital city Munich, a beer festival takes place.
• German Unity Day, October 3rd celebrates the date when the Reunification Treaty was signed.
• In Germany they celebrate Christmas so much that their celebrations begin December six.
Economy
• Germany is the largest national economy in Europe– The fourth-largest by
nominal GDP in the world.
• Exports account for more than one-third of national output.
• Well known global brands are Mercedes Benz, BMW, Adidas, Audi, Porsche, DHL, T-Mobile, Lufthansa, and Nivea.
