1. Most of the video in our Clip 12.61 was filmed on a trip from München to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Garmisch is located South-West of München close to the Austrian border. Find both München and Garmisch on a map of Germany and show their location on the map to the right. Maybe your map will even show the actual train route. Find the name of the lake that the train goes past and enter it on the map to the right, also.
2. Go to www.bahn.de. Put München Hbf (Hbf is the abbreviation for “Hauptbahnhof”) in the top box and “Garmisch-Partenkirchen” in the other. Find out how long it takes to get there on the train and how much it costs. Note: If the computer thinks your entry is not detailed enough, it might ask you to pick a destination from a list. “Garmisch- Partenkirchen” should be on the list.
