INDUSTRIAL FLOORING

Concrete structures should be protected, if exposed to mechanical and chemical stress. To increase the aesthetical appearance of concrete floors, coating systems are the first choice if seamless and high performance properties are required. We offer a wide range of Industrial Flooring systems from simple floor hardeners, warehouse systems, show- room coating, sport flooring systems and crack-bridging, car park flooring systems.

WATER PROOFING WET & DRY AREAS WATER PROOFING

We undertake projects dealing with waterproofing of wet & dry areas within Residential, commercial & industrial Buildings. Wet areas are defined as an area within a building supplied with water from a water supply system and includes bathrooms, showers, laundries and sanitary compartments. To deal with Waterproofing of wet areas we use different methods.

SOUND ISOLATIONS

Sound isolation is basically the prevention of transmission of sound or alternatively, a reduction of sound energy transmitted into an adjoining air space.

Two types of sound insulation are to be dealt with in building construction.

Airborne Sound Isolation: the isolation against noise originating in air, e.g. voices, music, motor traffic, wind.

Impact Sound Isolation: the isolation against noise originating directly on a structure

by blows or vibration e.g. footsteps above, furniture being moved, drilling and hammering the structure.

In order to deal with these types of sound isolations, we use various methods and products.

SCREEDDING

Screeding is leveling and smoothing the top layer of a material that is poured, such as concrete, so the material is the same height as the forms, or guides, that surround it. Formation of bounded, unbounded and floating screeds on both existing and new concrete prior to the installation of wood, PVC linoleum, ceramic tiles, natural stone, reconstituted stone, carpet or any other flooring where rapid drying is required for short installation times, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

SELF LEVELING

Self-leveling screed is polymer-modified cement that has high flow characteristics in contrast to traditional concrete. Self-leveling screed is typically used to create a flat and smooth surface with a compressive strength similar to or higher than that of traditional concrete prior to installing interior floor coverings. Self-leveling screed has increased in popularity as the degree of flatness and smoothness required for floor covering products has increased. Self-leveling monolithic epoxy flooring Floor Coat SLF Especially suited for industrial and commercial establishments where monolithic, dust & bacteria free environment is needed. It has high gloss surface finish, excellent resistance to water, oil & light industrial chemical, easy to clean with wide range of color combinations depending on individual requirements. Extensively used for automobile workshops, electronic industries, hospitals, hotels, laboratories, pharmaceutical units, control rooms, breweries, showrooms & food processing units etc.,

SURFACE PREPARATIONS

Surface Preparation is the process of removing pre-existing coating(s), residue, organic matter oxidation, or other contaminants from a surface, and it can range from a basic wipe-down or sanding to a total stripping, using tools and equipment designed specifically for the surface and coating at hand. The surfaces being prepped are usually steel, concrete, metal, wood, and plastic or aluminium, and can include floors, walls, decks, countertops, walkways, or roads. Coatings and contaminants that are removable include paint, oil, dust, mold, or rust. Surface Preparation requires special planning and evaluation of potential hazards before work can begin. Concrete surfaces are prepared prior to resurfacing concrete to look like plain concrete again or to be upgraded to a decorative finish. Surfaces are also prepared prior to various floor-coating installations in industrial, commercial, and institutional applications. The most important characteristic for resurfacing materials or floor coatings is the texture of the concrete.

PROTECTIVE COATINGS

Protective coatings are coverings that are intended to provide a layer of protection from anything that could damage the function or integrity of an item. The coatings are also helpful in preventing rust or enhancing the function of the product. Metal coatings are often applied to the surface of metal plates or sheets that are intended for outdoor use. Roofs and fencing made with metals are often treated with some type of coating in order to maintain appearance and also ensure the products last for longer periods of time. In all instances, the main function of protective coatings is to allow a product to remain in good condition for a prolonged period of time. The coatings make it possible for many products to last longer than would be possible if no coating was applied. While usually not impervious, protective coatings tend to hold up very well to normal use.

CRACK INJECTIONS

A method for sealing or repairing cracks by injecting a polymer.

We provide leak sealing services for cracks and voids using high pressure crack injection, and slow release epoxy resin injection where structural crack solutions are required. Holes are drilled at predetermined spaces, accessing the crack deep inside the substrate. Polyurethane resin is pumped in and foams on contact with water, to seal flows in both directions.

CONCRETE REPAIRS Sure, concrete is tough stuff, but even concrete cracks and crumbles. Eventually, nature has her way. Moisture and temperature extremes make their presence known through damage to concrete floors, walks and structures.

The first and often most important step of repairing damaged or deteriorated concrete is to correctly determine the cause of the damage. If the cause of the original damage to concrete is not determined and eliminated, or if an incorrect determination is made, whatever damaged the original concrete will likely also damage the repaired concrete. Money and effort spent for such repairs is, thus, totally wasted. Additionally, larger and even more costly replacement repairs will then be required. Therefore, our first step is to determine the cause of damage, after that we proceed for the repairing process.

BULDING GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Periodic inspections can help you find problems early and, along with regular maintenance, will extend the life of your building. They will also help you avoid the need for potentially expensive and disruptive repair work, which may damage your building’s heritage value. German Design also providing Bldg. Gen. Maintenance services, and has it’s a good idea to set up a building maintenance schedule to remind you of any inspections or work that needs to be done. WELDING AND FABRICATION WORKS Welding is the main focus of steel fabrication. The formed and machined parts will be assembled and tack welded into place then re-checked for accuracy. A fixture may be used to locate parts for welding if multiple weldments have been ordered. The welder then completes welding per the engineering drawings, if welding is detailed or per his own judgment if no welding details are provided. German Design provides complete welding, fabricating and finishing on all types of metal materials. With full capabilities, related to interiors and construction industries. Our experience includes welding and fabrication of mild steel, cast iron, aluminium and stainless steel. We also provide bending, drilling, punching, shearing, cutting, pipe bending, angle/pipe/structural steel/plate rolling. In house engineering and CAD design services are available.
