Tino Sehgal• There's too much stuff in the world—

that's the opinion of Tino Sehgal. So, the Berlin-based artist constructs experiences, not objects.

• Whenever a fan/ interviewers asks him for a photo, he is adamant that they appear in the picture as well.

• His Guggenheim Museum exhibition of two works, Kiss, and Progress take over the rotunda of the entire gallery space, which is cleared of art objects for the first time in the museum’s history.

• He prohibits any photographs/videos of his works. He insists that they be appreciated in the timespan they were created and that the “only thing you can take away from it is your memories.”

For This objective of that object (2004) the visitor becomes surrounded by five people who remain with their backs to the visitors. The five chant, "The objective of this work is to become the object of a discussion," and if the visitor does not respond they slowly sink to the ground. If the visitor says something they begin a discussion with him/her.

Tino’s “The Progress”• “There are great things in this world and one of them is talking to people, especially strangers. Rarely do you make eye contact with someone and try to figure out where they’re coming from.”

• “I’ve never met a 7-year-old who can match an 11-year-old in a conversation about philosophy.”

• “Art walks beside you.”

Leica Cameras

• Founded on 1913.• Use to lead the pack in camera technology.• Most noteworhty from this company is that they started

using. Nowadays, only Leica lenses are popular now, and are used in Panasonic videocamera and digital cameras.

• A number of camera companies built models based on the Leica rangefinder design. These include the Leotax, Nicca and early Canon models in Japan, the Kardon in USA, the Reid in England and the FED and Zorki in the USSR.

Andreas Gursky• Born on January 15th, 1955• Son of a commercial photographer.• Studied under Hilla and Bernd Becher.• Exhibited at over 23 different museums and has shown at

Turkey, Spain, Australia, Denmark, Canada, Russia, Sweden, • His work is not as appreciated as it once was. After 9/11,

his symmetrical, grid-like building photographs were not as desired as before.

• Realizing this, he has switched his style to photographing more human interactions whilst still keeping his signature “OCS= Obsessive Compulsive Symmetry.”

• Art critic Emilie Trice has called Berlin “the graffiti Mecca of the urban art world.”

• When the Berlin Wall fell in the 80’s, people flocked to the scene to cover the wall. Most of the graffiti that appeared over Germany was themed around “being free.”

• “Trainwriting” is one of the most popular forms of Graffiti in Germany.

• Challenged his harshest critics (including Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avary) in June 2006 to "put up or shut up“; Ten rounds of boxing between Boll and anyone who didn’t like him. People who accepted and fought him thought it was a publicity stunt. Well, it wasn’t.

• In April 2008, The Guardian ran an article claiming Boll had promised to retire if an online petition at PetitionOnline.com asking him to do so received 1,000,000 signatures.

Michael Bay vs. Uwe Boll• As part of a publicity stunt for POSTAL, Uwe Boll released a video

stating that he is "the only genius in the whole f***ing [movie] business" and that other directors such as Michael Bay and Eli Roth are "f***ing retards.”

Boll later retracted his statements as being “misunderstood” and that he originally meant them towards Hollywood in general.

• When Michael Bay heard Boll’s criticism of himself, his only response was “Uwe Boll is a sad being.”

• After hearing what Bay and Roth had stated towards his criticism, Boll stated that Roth "has a sense of humor" and that Bay has “no sense of humor”. On April 27, Boll responded to Bay's “sad being" comment. "To prove who is the better director", Boll offered to challenge Bay to a 12 round boxing match boxing match at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
