Readings: Short readings may be assigned as needed. This class is about exploring new ideas and tools that most have never heard of or used. All experiences, success and failures are valuable to the learning process (i.e. when something doesn’t work the way you expect, work with others to find a solution, search and ask on the web, and if you still can’t get it to work write up a description of the problem/bug that might help developers fix the issue). Recommended Course materials:
● 4 or 8 GB flash drive ● Laptop you are welcome to use your own computer to complete assignments. OSGeo
Live is the standard platform we’ll use for all assignments and is freely available and can work in multiple ways on almost any computer. http://live.osgeo.org
