georgia’s nasa regional educator resource 2017 2018
TRANSCRIPT
Georgia’s NASA Regional Educator Resource Center (RERC) is located in the Museum of
Aviation Foundation’s National STEM Academy and housed in the STEM Training Academy for
Teachers (STAT). It serves as a preview and distribution center for
NASA produced educational materials which focus on STEM curriculum. The RERC offers K-12
and University educators teaching in Georgia easy access to STEM resources suitable for use
in their classrooms.
Georgia’s NASA RERC provides hands-on workshops for classroom teachers, pre-service
teachers, informal educators, scout leaders, and home school groups. Topics are related to STEM disciplines and infuse NASA education resources
into classroom curricula. The workshops at Georgia’s NASA RERC are led by education
specialists from the NASA Educator Professional Development program or other NASA affiliated
education programs.
During each workshop educators receive NASA materials and resources, and when available, stipends for participation. All workshops are
held at Georgia’s NASA RERC unless otherwise noted. See the workshop schedule table for
dates and topics.*
