World of Coca-cola

World of Coca-cola is a very popular state attraction. It opened in Atlanta in 2007. World of Coca-cola is 60,000 square feet and visitors can try over 60 kinds of sodas.

Slavery in Georgia

On January9th, 1735, slavery and rum outlawed the colony of Georgia. Lots of African family’s were being separated than sold. Some people tried putting a stop to this but not much. In 2005, people apologized to African Americans.

Okefenokee Swamp Okefenokee Swamp borders Georgia and Florida. So, its at the bottom of Georgia and top of Florida. The Okefenokee swamp water tempter is usually around 68 degrees F. The Okefenokee swamp is the largest “black water” swamp in North America.

Brown thrasherBrown thrashers are

chocolate brown with black and white line. They have a call very similar to the mocking bird.

You’ll mostly see them on the ground digging for worms and insect to feed on. Brown thrashers don’t go towards the west.

white with yellow in the middle. Its pedals are very waxy. They are called Cherokee roses because Cherokee people planted them almost every where they went. That’s how there all over Georgia’s land.

trees. Long ago live oaks were used to make ships. They chose live oaks because how powerful they were and if a canon shot at the boat the canon wouldn't sink the ship because of hw powerful the wood was.

Names and Nicknames Georgia was named after king George the 2nd

who lived in England long ago. He made Georgia apart of England's 13 American columns in 1788.

One of Georgia’s state nicknames is the peach state. They cal it the peach state because people grow peaches trough out Georgia. Another nickname is the goober state. Goobers are peanuts. Georgia people grow peanuts through out the land.

Georgia was the last of the thirteen colonies to be established, in 1733. it was the forth state to ratify the U.S constitution on Jan 2nd, 1788.

State mottoGeorgia’s state motto is wisdom, justice,

and moderation. What this means is that Georgia’s government will protect those

values.
