INDAIRPOLLNET (INDoor AIR POLLution NETwork) will improve our
understanding of the cause of high concentrations of indoor air pollutants. It
will assemble experts in laboratory and chamber experiments, modelling
studies and measurements of relevance to indoor air quality (IAQ), including
outdoor air chemists.
Our network includes experts in chemistry, biology, standardisation,
particulate matter characterisation, toxicology, exposure assessment, building
materials (including those manufactured specifically to improve IAQ such as
green materials), building physics and engineering (including ventilation and
energy) and building design.
This Action aims to significantly advance the field of indoor air pollution
science, to highlight future research areas and to bridge the gap between
research and business to identify appropriate mitigation strategies that
optimise IAQ.

• The project will target the building block actors by developing a Hybrid VLC/IR-RF (Visual Light Communication/InfraRed-RadioFrequency) system based on an innovative integrated multi-functional thermal image sensor module with highly sensitive, low cost,and low power consumption.

• The main goal of VIRTUOSE project is to develop video services utilizing virtualization techniques. With
the use of virtualization techniques, we can develop service, which is scalable and secure and can easily be
deployed to different computing platforms. This enables the partners to leverage their services to new

• The VIRTUOSE project focuses initially on selected use cases, which are: cloud gaming, video analytics, and

PAPUD - A common framework using Deep Learning for data analytics
As independent units, current text analytics tools are limited in their abilities. By combining them into an open sourceframework, built around Deep Learning algorithms and Big Data hardware, the ITEA project PAPUD automatically reveals thedeeper meaning behind huge amounts of unprocessed data.
ADDRESSING THE CHALLENGEMachine Learning and Data Mining approaches have shown
their limitations: there is no onesize fits-all model and
algorithms that work with one type of text will fail with
another.

Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) will foster switching from the “Internet of information" era to the “Internet of Value" era, whereby decentralised and immutable contracts define business interactions and secure exchanges of information.

Monitoring spillage of spacecraft propulsion systems by detecting concentrations of hydrogen and
other fuels in hazardous environment conditions is extremely important while maintaining safety of
crew and ships.
Silicon carbide (SiC) has emerged as the leading candidate substrate for sensors which are suitable to
high temperature operation. Currently, SiC based hydrogen sensors have been demanded widely as
essential components in aeronautical industry, which may require them to be placed in high
temperature and chemical reactive environments, and where the leakage of hydrogen is a critical issue.
The SenSyStar project aims to designing and realization of a test station composed by a set of

Intelligent Hive Colony Monitoring System
Bees is a key factor in agriculture, responsible for pollination of
plants and forests. CCD (Colony collapse disorder) is a very serious
problem, manifested by the decrease of the number of bees in the
colony. Most of the time it’s causes are not known, or can be found
through a thorough research of the colonies involved it may be
parasites, pesticides genetically modified crops, or even the ambiental
radiation produced.
The project proposed brings a innovative solution for these
problems by introducing an Intelligent Hive Colony Monitoring System, in
order to determine their health and detect anomalies.

want to conceive, a system which contains information about the tests in
TORCH panel and an online anamnestic questionnaire. In pregnant
women case will be developed a smartphone application which besides
information regarding tests in TORCH panel and places where you can
perform them will be identified, individualized, the optimal time, and also
the range of appropriate tests correlated with gestational age and medical
history.
