At Bromfords School every student will explore a wide range of topics within the subject such as Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Population, Rivers, Settlements, Weather and Environmental Issues. We look at some countries in detail, for example the UK anKenya, but look at other countries as examples within the other units. This broad and varied curriculum ensures that all students have an opportunity to discover an area of Geography that they find interesting. We carry out small scale onsite fieldwork appropriate and also go on fieldtrips with year 9, GCSE and at A Level.

Taking it further
We offer both GCSE and A Level Geography at Bromfords and our GCSE pass rate is currently above the national average. At both GCSE and A Level there are opportunities for residential fieldwork to the Peak District to investigate tourism and to the South Coast to look at coastal management.
We look at a wider range of subjects and also in more depth than at key stage 3 and also encourage the students to take responsibility for their own learning.
The skills and attitudes developed whilst
studying Geography at the higher levels will
put students in good stead for later life
