Write-Up
Band Correlation
The bands least correlated with each other are 1,4, and 6. While bands 1,2 and 4 have the lowest
correlations with band 6, bands 1 and 2 are too highly correlated between themselves. Hence, I chose
the band with the lowest correlation with band 4. Band 1 had a lower correlation with band 4 than did
band 2, hence I chose band 1.

Shadow Question
Some features appear to cast a shadow. For example, in the Santa Monica Mountains, ridgelines cast an
east-facing shadow. Also, in the San Fernando Valley, roads seems to cast a omni-directional shadow.
Futher up northwest, the mountainous dry-green vegetation interface seems to be accentuated by
shadows.
Land Cover Question
The maximum image has more detailed information about land cover. While the minimum image has
relevant data, its features are partially distorted and the representations are moderately mismatched.
The maximum, on the other hand, seems much more like the original image with appears very similar to
the reference.
