LocalTapiola's business revolves around lifelong security, which means that LocalTapiola's customers are provided with comprehensive, preventative service in the areas of health, security and finance.

LocalTapiola is the leading non-life insurance company in Finland.

LocalTapiola was born when Tapiola Group and Lähivakuutus Group merged in 2012. The merging has brought two core IT systems into one company, including risk data. Nowadays, LocalTapiola consists of 20 regional mutual insurance companies and LocalTapiola general mutual.

The Risk Portfolio Management has been challenging with a lot of manual work and chance of errors. There were too

many risks in the risk portfolio management.

Something needed to change!

HaaviThe tool was built on ArcGIS Platform

using configurable tools.Haavi® utilizes very good quality open

data such as

- coordinates for all buildings from the Population Register Centre

- city areas from the Regional State Administrative Agencies

HaaviThe automated data transfer from the

data warehouse to Haavi® and theevaluated data from Haavi® to the

reinsurance system are underdevelopment.

When the process is ready, even betterrisk data will be available for the use of

reinsurance and the reinsurers!

The path is now open and the usage of GIS willexpand rapidly in all levels in our organization in thevery near future!
