Why are not all greens+ formulas considered gluten free?The original, award-winning greens+ formula as well as booster formulas contains highly alkalinizing ingredients like wheat grass and barley grass, which are known for their potent health benefits. Wheat grass and barley grass themselves do not contain gluten, but wheat and barley grains do contain gluten. Therefore, trace amounts of gluten may be present through the processing of the grasses. Amazing properties aside, these ingredients do contain trace amounts of gluten, which must be identified under Health Canada regulations. For a certified gluten-free option, Vegan greens+ O is the product for you!

Why is skim milk listed as an ingredient on some greens+ products?In the greens+ ORIGINAL and greens+ booster formulas there are 8-strains of probiotics. These strains are initially cultured on a skim milk medium, and although they are removed from this base and considered to be “non-dairy”, Health Canada regulations require us to list “skim milk” as an ingredient in case of any potential cross-contamination. For a certified dairy-free product, Vegan greens+ O is the product for you! It is important to note that no dairy has been added to the greens+ formula.

Why doesn’t greens+ come in a liquid format?greens+ is the only research-proven green formula on the market, but at the present time we have not been able to meet our high standards of safety to replicate the formula without the use of preservatives while also maintaining the effective nutrient levels in our original formula. Why is soy lecithin added to greens+?Lecithin is the most bioavailable “cell-friendly” source of the B-vitamin choline. The active ingredient in lecithin, phosphatidylcholine (PC), is a fatty nutrient that is critically important to the health of the nervous system and is important for healthy mental outlook and the prevention of cognitive decline.
