What do you know about the creation story in the Bible? How does it compare

to the theory of evolution? Discuss in at least 3 to 5 sentences.

Genesis 1:1-311. Open up Evernote and create a new note with

9/15 as the title. Open up Biblegateway on the internet and look up Genesis 1.

2. What are some of the phrases that you notice are repeated through out the chapter? Write

them down.3. What do you think the author is emphasizing or

teaching about God by repeating these phrases? Write what you think next to the phrase.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth...

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

from all his work that he had done in creation.
