B.F. ADAM GOLF CLASSICThe Cy-Fair Educational Foundation was established in 1970 to raise money to fund a scholarship for high school graduates. At the time there was only one high school in the area. Eighteen years and four high schools later, it was clear the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD was a growing district and Foundation Trustees were looking for a way to increase scholarships for CFISD students. Community leader and Foundation supporter John Fox spearheaded the first annual CFEF golf tournament raising $3,500 for student scholarships.

In 1992, the golf tournament was renamed - B.F. Adam Golf Classic - to honor lifelong Cy-Fair resident and devoted school board member with 24 years of service, B.F. (Bernard Fred) Adam. Five years later, the B.F. Adam Golf Classic was bringing in $70,000 for scholarships.

Known as one of the largest non-celebrity charity golf tournaments in Houston, the B.F. Adam Golf Classic draws 288 golfers every year to the magnificent BlackHorse Golf Club. Over the past 29 years, the B.F. Adam Golf Classic has raised over $2.5 million to fund scholarships for graduating seniors from Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.

The Foundation is truly humbled by the incredible support from the Cy-Fair community, for the B.F. Adam Golf Classic, which has allowed the legacy community leaders launched 47 years ago to exceed all our expectations.
