Generation Water© Why?

A Problem Worth Solving

South-East Asia recently faced the worst drought in decades. Compounded by the low levels of drinking water quality from the tap and logistical overheads associated with supplying bottled water, this makes SE Asia desperate for a sustainable alternative. With the hospitality industry in Thailand providing 9% of Thailand’s GDP, the hospitality industry is well positioned to effect change for the better.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is emitted into the atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation

Since atmospheric water vapour is itself a greenhouse gas, this leads to further warming

Carbon dioxide emissions cause the Earth’s temperature to rise

Rising temperatures increase evaporation which results in an increase of Water Vapour in the atmosphere

Carbon dioxide only contributes 0.04% of the total greenhouse gases in Earths atmosphere. Water vapour makes up the largest contributor of all greenhouse gases.

Generation Water© How?

SOLUTION The amount of renewable water in the earth's atmosphere is estimated to be around 12,504 cubic kilometres, there is certainly an unlimited source of water to harvest from. According to NASA, "some 495,000 cubic kilometres of water—are cycled through the atmosphere every year. It is as if the entire amount of water in the air were removed and replenished nearly 40 times a year.“ Generation Water captures this water and filters it to produce pure drinking water. This removes any impact on the local and national water reserves and enables us to produce and supply water at the source of need.
