Preaching the Gospel

with Cross-shaped Culture

Page 4: Generation Next Session #5 - Women

1 Tim 2:6 He gave himself as a ransom for all.

This is the message that was given at the

proper time, 7 and I was appointed as its

herald and apostle - I am telling you the truth

and not lying – a true and faithful teacher of

the Gentiles. 8 So I want everyone to be

praying in every place, lifting up holy hands

without anger or dissension.

Page 5: Generation Next Session #5 - Women

9 I also want to encourage women to exercise

restraint, wearing modest and respectable

apparel. They should not draw attention to

themselves through braiding their hair or

wearing gold, pearls or expensive clothes. 10

They should consider the kinds of good works

that befit a woman who respects and loves

God.

Page 6: Generation Next Session #5 - Women

11 A woman should learn quietly and

respectfully. 12 I do not permit a woman to

teach or exercise authority over a man but to

remain quiet. 13 Indeed, Adam was formed

first and then Eve. 14 Adam was not deceived

but the woman was deceived and fell into

transgression. 15 Women will be kept safe

through the ordeal of child bearing if they

abide in faith, love, and holiness and discretion.
