MONASH MEDICINE NURSING AND HEALTH SCIENCES GENERAL RADIOGRAPHY INTRODUCTION TO THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE Are you a rurally-based GP needing to provide X-ray services to your community? Gain skills in medical imaging technology and interpretation to help deliver better outcomes for your patients. STRUCTURE Our course takes the form of a series of seven distributed (self- learning) online modules ad a two-day hands-on facilitated workshop. Course materials will be available online and also additional material posted four weeks prior to the workshop. WORKSHOP DATES IN 2020 Saturday 30 May to Sunday 31 May Bendigo Health 100 Barnard St, Bendigo VIC 3550 ASSESSMENT Registrants will complete a GP Clinical Radiography Record Book and practical decision-making exercises after the workshop. In addition, registrants will sit a short open-book exam prior to completion of the course. NB: Assessment will be completed off-campus, in your home region. ADMISSION CRITERIA AND FEES Course fees: A$2000 Applicants must be general practitioners practicing in rural areas with an RRMA two to seven. General practitioners in RRMA three to seven, Victoria, can apply for a registration fee subsidy through the Department of Human Services. This will be a 50% or 70% subsidy depending on whether there is support from the local health service or division.
