GL Main Menu Once a Packet has been created, you should print a report for the packet.

To do this, choose option #12 Packets from the General Ledger Main Menu.

From the Packets Menu, select option #06, Packet Report.

Packet Report

After selecting the packet report option this screen will appear.

There are several ways to select the packet you want to print.

If you know the name of the packet, simply type it and press <ENTER>

If you don’t know the packet name, you can hit <F5> to see a listing of existing packets.

Once you have a list, scroll through, using <F1> to go forward or <F2> to go back.

Highlight the packet you want to print and hit <ENTER>

Packet ReportIf you want to print an entire “group” of packets, you can use the asterisks to mask a portion of the packet name. In this example, we will print all packets that begin with “CD” for the period 06/2004.

NOTE: when using this option, you will also need to enter the accounting period.

Packet Report

If you want to print all the packets for a specific accounting period, simply type the word “ALL” in the name field, and enter the accounting period.

Packet ReportEnter Status Desired: If you want to only print for a particular status, type the code here. Your options are:

B = Balanced packetsU = Unbalanced packetsV = Verified packetsP = Processed packets

You can enter up to 5 status’.

NOTE: This option is only available when picking a range of packets to print.

Packet ReportEnter Codes to Skip: If you DO NOT want to include a certain transaction type (i.e. IV, CD, etc…) type those codes here.Print Auto Entries: This question will default to “Y”. To NOT include auto entries type “N”.Print Ledger Recap: This question will default to “N”. If you want to print a ledger recap, at the end of the report, type “Y” here.

Once you have completed the screen, type or accept the printer number.

The first pages of the Packet Report look the same.

Packet ReportLast part of the Packet Report prints the new ledger recap information. It totals all the debits, credits and suppressed entries for each account on the report.
