Champagne e- Champagne is a region situated on the North East of Paris, France. Due to its cool climate it is difficult for grapes to ripen fully, leading to high acidity and understated flavor, which happens to be ideal for Sparkling Wines. The grape varieties grown in this region are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay and the region’s distinctive chalky soil also plays a significant role in creating the r ight flavors for these grape varieties.

The wines are also produced following specific method called “method Champenoise” which consists of adding sugar and a special yeast to the still wine (various blend of high quality grapes which define the house’s style) before it is left to rest. This causes a secondary fermentation which gives the wine its effervescence. Before final bottling further sugar and still wine are added in view to determinate the degree of sweetness and add character.

Piper-Heidsieck

Piper-Heidsieck, based in Reims, produces crisp Champagne using the three grape varieties. Regis Camus was awarded Wine Maker of The Year at London International Wine Challenge, in 2004 and 2007. With his team, he produces Champagne with much personality, such as Cuvée Brut with a high content of Pinot Noir, and “Rare” with an impressive and complex mineral composition.

Rosé Wines s Rosé wines - long disparaged as too sweet, too pink and too cheap - have improved in quality in recent years and been embraced by food and wine connoisseurs and became a new international trend for lunch, dinner, aperitif and cocktail party. At Union Square Wine and Spirits in Manhattan, the demand for rosé has increased about 30 percent over the last year; in Britain, while ten years ago, one of every 100 bottles of wine purchased was a rosé, these days it is one of every nine; and in France one in every five bottles sold nowadays is a rosé.

In our hot climate, we particularly recommend dry rosé wines with variety of dishes, and it is ideal as aperitif by the glass.

France

Provence Certainly the most renown region for rosé wine, which are rarely sweet and almost always fruity, yet dry and refreshing.

Château d’Esclans, Domaines Sacha Lichine

Sacha Lichine is the son of ate Alexis Lichine who was one of the most influential figure in French Wine for the past few decade. The Lichine family was based in Bordeaux and owner of several estates including the famous Château Lascombes. Sacha made a bold move and relocated to the South of France in Côtes de Provence at Château d’Esclans to produce rosé wine, but not any Provence rosé. He has set is goal to make the best rosé in the world, in joint venture with his oenologist Patrick Léon who was previously Chef Wine Maker at Château Mouton-Rothschild. And many trust they have already succeeded. The wines from 2006, their debut vintage, earned outstanding scores from Wine Spectator and were de rigueur on all superyachts in the nearby south of France’s ports the following summer.

The key to the indubitably superior quality seems to be particularly old Grenache vines, some 80 years old, with some pale skinned Rolle (Vermentino) grapes, and part vinification in large, old oak casks.

At a time when rosé wines are becoming increasingly in demand by the bottle and by the glass, we are pleased to present Château d’Esclans, said to produce some of the best, if not the best, rosé available.

Grenache & Rolle harvested at optimum maturity and matured without barrel fermentation, to keep all the freshness and fruits flavors. Tender, almost pastel-like colour and a pure aromatic framework to accompany its silky texture on the palate. The grape varieties express beautiful airy flavors and a great minerality. Finesse, as opposed to a heavy concentration, makes this wine truly accessible.

France e French wine originated in the 6th century BCE, with the colonization of Southern Gaul by Greek settlers, and many of France's regions count their wine-making history to Roman times. France is the source of many grape varieties (such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah) and several winemaking practices.

Two central concepts to high-quality French wines are the notion of “Terroir” and the “Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée” (AOC) system. "Terroir wines" reflect their place of origin, which are specified on labels of French wine, usually in terms of the wine's appellation. Appellation rules closely define which grape varieties and winemaking practices are allowed in each of France's several hundred geographically defined appellations. These rules must be followed by all producers who wish to use an AOC designation for their wines.

France had no tradition of varietal labeling of wines as varietal labeling was not allowed under appellation rules, however this is slowly changing following the “New World” labeling system. This means that often labels indicate the Appellation rather than the grape variety. We have attempted to give a brief description of all regions and Appellation varieties, and hope this will assist you with your wine selection.

Loire Valley

This wine region runs from the Atlantic to central France and follows the Loire river. While Loire grows a wide variety of grape, its best known appellations include Pouilly Fumé and Sancerre, these “classic” Sauvignon Blanc denote much fruitiness, minerality, fresh and crisp flavors; While the Sancerre Red are made with Pinot Noir and produce light wines high in red fruits, spice notes and subtle oak.

Sauvion

The Château du Cleray-Sauvion is one of the oldest estates in the region and grows a wide variety of grapes.

Pascal Jolivet

The house of Pascal Jolivet is one of the youngest and most dynamic in the Loire Valley, established in 1982, today with the two premier appellations of Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé. He is a strong believer in letting nature make the wine as much as possible and seek to tame the most dynamic qualities of the Sauvignon Blanc variety.

Alsace

Alsace is located on the German border in northeast France, a most interesting region which produces a variety of unique wines all subject to adding interest to your wine list, and it is worldly reputed for its wonderful and particular varietal dry white wines. Classic grapes include Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Muscat and Pinot Gris. We recommend these highly aromatic wines with any fragrant or spicy food such as Asian dishes, and with seafood. Our selection also includes a particularly light and fresh Pinot Noir Grand Cru, which is most suited to our climate; And we would like to recommend "Sélection de Grains Nobles", a very concentrated sweet wines of paramount quality.

Leon Beyer

The Beyer have been wine-growers in Eguisheim, the cradle of the Alsace wine-producing region, since 1580 and produce some of the finest Alsace wines.

Burgundy

One of the world’s most famous wine-growing areas, home to some of the most expensive wines in the world and located in eastern central France. Burgundy consists on several wine regions as per listed below. Through other grape varieties are grown, the focus is on Gamay for the Beaujolais, Pinot Noir for other regions for red wines, and Chardonnay for white wines throughout Burgundy, and reaching its zenith in the Côte de Beaune.

Here the appellation system is slightly different, they classify regions, village and individual vineyard; the theory being that the more precise the appellation, the higher the quality of wine. Ranking next to this progression are “Premier Cru” producing superior wines and “Grand Cru” for a few select sites and sitting at the very top of the quality hierarchy. We hope this information will assist you on making your selection; the wines have been listed per regions, then per producers and per appellations from north to south.

Chablis

Chablis wines are made using the Chardonnay grape and somewhat different from other Burgundy wines. The northern location, which is closer to Champagne that the rest of Burgundy, means Chablis have more acidity and less ripen flavors than Chardonnay wines grown in warmer climates. Yet their dry, crisp and mineral style has great elegance.

Côte de Beaune

The Côte de Beaune area is the southern part of the Côte d'Or. The trend of producing red wines continues from the Côte de Nuits to Côte de Beaune, although the wines become lighter and more perfumed. Further south lie the great names of white Burgundy Grand Cru, and then the far south of the district sees a return to red wines.

Beaujolais Contrarily to the rest of Burgundy, Beaujolais red wines are not made with Pinot Noir but mostly with the Gamay grape which is a more suited style to compliment the soil in the area. Chapoutier

With a real passion for nature, the expression of soils, love for vines and wine and the awareness of the need to respect the earth and its terroir, Michelle Chapoutier at the head of this exceptional vineyard firmly anchored in history and traditions, has opted for breakaway solutions and succeeded in combining the past with daring and creativity. This lead Maison Chapoutier to adopt a biodynamic cultivation method.

Provence

The Provence region is situated in Southern France and stretches to the Italian border, It is said that wine has been produced in this region since 600BC and the wide variety of grapes grown include Greek, Spanish, Roman, and traditional French grapes.

Provence is very well known for its fruity yet crisp and dry Rosé wines, notably from “Côtes de Provence” as per below select ion, and “Bandol”. This is also an increasingly popular option by the glass, for lunch and dinner alike.

223395 Château d’Esclans, “Whispering Angel”

2007 12 x 75 CL 617.16 51.43

Grenache & Rolle harvested at optimum maturity and matured without barrel fermentation, to keep all the freshness and fruits flavors. Tender, almost pastel-like color and a pure aromatic framework to accompany its silky texture on the palate. The grape varieties express beautiful airy flavors and a great minerality. Finesse, as opposed to a heavy concentration, makes this wine truly accessible.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is an area in southwestern France and considered by most wine enthusiasts as the world’s greatest wine producing region, ranging from large quantities of everyday table wine, to some of the most expensive and prestigious wines in the world. Romans started growing grapes there some 2000 years ago and many vineyards have been kept since. The region consists of many appellations and the most prestigious are all included in our portfolio.

Bordeaux gained most of its fame from the red wines mostly made with a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, nevertheless the region’s rich sweet white wines from Sauternes are world renowned, and its dry white wines from Pessac-Léognan are well praised.

There was attempt to classify the better châteaux as a quality guide, rating wines from Grand Cru to fifth Cru. However those classifications are for most part quiet old, and inconsistent throughout the regions, nonetheless we have indicated the Grand Cru when relevant and Premier (1er) Cru and second (2eme) Cru as suitable, starting with the most prestigious. We have listed the wines per area, left bank regions from Medoc to Sauternes where red wines are produced with a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon; and then the right bank regions from Cotes de Blaye to Saint-Emilion where wines are produced with a majority of Merlot.

Château Lafite Rothschild has long been one of the great wines of the Bordeaux region of France - and of the world. The Lafite vineyard was organized by the Ségur family in the 17th century, and the estate soon garnered its reputation as a top-level winemaking estate. Vintage 1996 is particularly notable and scored 100 in the Robert Parker’s wine review: “knock-out nose of lead pencil, minerals, flowers, and black currant scents. Extremely powerful and full-bodied, with remarkable complexity for such a young wine, this huge Lafite is oozing with extract and richness, yet has managed to preserve its quintessentially elegant personality”.

A wine fit for a King…literall, it is believed that Henry II poured Château d’Issan at his wedding. The château dates from the 17th century, which means Issan is one of the oldest châteaux in the Médoc. However, the latest news at Château d’Issan -and in all of Bordeaux- is the 2005 harvest. According to some very well-known winemakers including Emmanuel Cruse of Château d’Issan, 2005 is “the vintage of the century”. They have never before seen such ideal conditions throughout the year. The result shows aromas of camphor, forest floor, blackberries, cassis, and a hint of spring flowers, this wine is full-bodied with superb richness, purity, texture, and abundant, sweet tannin.

The Château was built in 1550 and began exploiting the vineyard right away. The characteristic of this wine is its harmony between the very soft and very fine structure and the complex aroma given by the earth of the "Graves". Haut Brion has a complex bouquet of ripe fruit, tobacco and mineral, earthy scents. Rich, ripe, medium to full-bodied and well structure, a wine that seems to balance power and elegance, richness and harmony perfectly.

Italy y

Italy is the world’s second largest wine producer and has been making wine for the past 3500 years. It is well known for growing many varieties of ancient native grapes from Roman times and from the Greek, that are not used anywhere else. It has twenty large growing regions from the cool foothills of the Alps, to the hot Southland producing distinctive styles of wine.

Italy has Denomination of Origin laws, these are in part patterned after France's “Appellations Contrôlées”. They define Italy's winemaking traditions and regulate every phase of viticulture and viniculture, including vine types, grapes, their processing, aging and bottling. There are four different categories, and the two top categories are explained below:

Denominazione di Origine Controllata (Denomination of Controlled Origin, DOC) - Wines bearing this appellation are registered by the government and must comply with approved, traditional methods of planting, cultivating, fertilizing and varietal used. Their labels must state their zone of origin and the wines are required to meet certain production standards.

Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin, DOCG) – The most stringent of the categories, this appellation embraces all DOC assurances. Affixed to the bottle is a government seal of approval, and the vines, winery and wine is subject to analysis at any time by government inspectors.

Piedmont

The Piedmont is located Northwest of Italy next to France and Switzerland. Its name which means “foot of the mountain” refers to its location at the base of the Alps. Piedmont is notably famous for its full body red wines made with the Nebbiolo grape and aged in wooden barrels, such as rich and spicy Barbaresco and the robust and complex Barolo - one of Italy’s best, and sometimes called “King” of Italian wines; and for the area of Gavi which produces dry and crisp white wines made with the Cortese grape.

Pio Cesare Pio Cesare has been producing wines for more than 100 years and through generations. There has always been a conviction that great wine can come only from the finest grapes and adherence to the highest standards, and this is why Pio Cesare limits its production by using only the most mature and healthy grapes.

Friuli

Fruili-Venezia Giulia is located Northest of Italy next to Austria. A wide variety of grapes are grown in the region with a majority of white wines.

Villa Frattina The noble Frattina family first appeared in this region before the year 1000. In the 1600's the Counts of Frattina founded a winemaking cellar which remained under their control for almost four hundred year. It is no coincidence that the control of its operation is now assumed by a family that is an integral part of the industrial history of Italy: the Averna.

Tuscany

Tuscany is located on the west coast of central Italy and it is home to some of the world's most notable wine regions, these include the famous Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. In Tuscany red wines are primarily made with the Sangiovese grape or a Sangiovese dominant blend, and the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Merlot is frequent.

Tuscany is also well known for producing superlative wines that are produced from non-native grape varieties such as Sangiovese and therefore break the rules by being made outside DOC/DOCG regulations. For this reasons they are labeled as “Vino de Tavola” (table wine), but really many Tuscan wines without appellation are of very high quality. These are known as * “Super Tuscans” many of which became cult wines in Italy. We are also pleased to list a selection below including Lupicaia, and Sassicaia one of the original and best known “Super Tuscan” which has been produced in Bolgheri since 1944.

Canapelle produces a very rich and complex Chianti Classico Reserva. The Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo grapes macerate with the skins for 18-20 days, the wine is aged 18 months in French and Australian oak. The bouquet shows notes of toast, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, red fruits. Long and persistent with intensity, develops slowly into hints of brushwood, iris, juniper and a little note of fennel. The palate is a little astringent, warm, structured, fresh with yet tannic and taste of iris and musk mixed with vanilla.

223411 “50 & 50” (sangiovese, merlot)

2004 6 x 75 CL 1842.30 307.05

The bouquet jumps out of the glass, almost overwhelming in its intensity, with toasted aromas of vanilla, tobacco and coffee. Floral notes evolve over several minutes, meshing with the other components; cherry, myrtle and strawberry blend beautifully in ample, persistent complexity. The palate exhibits both remarkable, finesse and structure; full and complex, its tannins are sweet and mellow, its texture pleasingly silky. The delicate acidity and sweet polyphenols are in total synergy, supporting the wine’s notable structure. Its magnitude and body enhances red fruit aromas and nuances of tobacco, vanilla and leather.

Banfi

The family-owned Banfi Tuscany includes several vineyards in Tuscany and also in Piedmont. Their Estate “Castello Banfi” is a vineyard and winery in the Brunello region which produces some of Banfi’s finest wines, which the family refers to as “Noble wines”. Banfi was awarded Italy’s premier vineyard estate at the VinItaly wine fair for 11 consecutive year; it was the first winery in the world to be internationally recognized for exceptional environmental, ethical and social responsibility; and was elected Winery of the Year by both Wine Enthusiast and Wine & Spirits Magazine.

Campania

Campania is located on the eastern cost of southern Italy, in the Napoli region.

Feudi di San Gregorio

Feudi di San Gregorio has aggressively tapped into the enormous potential of Campania's unique terroir and ancient varietals by placing a thoroughly modern spin on indigenous grapes such as Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo and Aglianico. Feudi di San Gregorio sources its grapes from the finest vineyards set in the rolling hills of the Irpinia region, located in close proximity to Mount Vesuvius. The volcano's legendary eruptions have laden the sandstone and marl soil with mineral-rich deposits of volcanic ash, forming a unique composition that imparts highly distinctive aromas and flavors in the grapes.

Sicily Sicily is an island located on the western side of south Italy and Italy’s largest wine-producing region.

Donnafugata Donnafugata grew out of the commitment of a family in Sicily that has always believed in the extraordinary enological potential of its land and has 150 years of experience in producing premium wines. Convinced that it is always necessary to be open to change in order to grow and improve, Giacomo Rallo and his wife, Gabriella, launched a new production project in 1983: Donnafugata.

Spain n

With more land under vine than any other country in the world, Spain is the great sleeping wine giant. In recent years, a great deal of money and passion has been poured in the burgeoning Spanish wine industry, helping to improve quality among its vast array of wines from sparkling Cava to Sherry to Rioja Gran Reserva.

Tempranillo is the most important red wine varietal for both everyday and world-class Spanish wines. Frequently, the wines made from Tempranillo have aromas of black cherry fruit as well as leather and earthy qualities, and some studies have shown that this varietal is a relative of Pinot Noir. The two most famous areas for great Tempranillo based wines are the Ribera del Duero and the Rioja. In the Duero, the wines are commonly blended with Cabernet and/or Merlot. While in the Rioja it is more frequently blended with Grenache.

Similarly as France and Italy, Spain has an appellation system, DOC for regions with a track record of consistent quality and is meant to be a step above DO level which is for the mainstream quality-wine regions.

Rioja

Spain’s premier and best known wine region, located on the north of Spain. Wine has been produce there since over 2600 years, before the Roman occupation. Rioja wines tend to be made “Bordeaux Style” and are greatly influenced by winemaking practices introduced by French families who migrated to Rioja in the late 1800s after phylloxera stuck Bordeaux vineyards, while the extensive use of American oak imparts the familiar vanilla characteristic that’s associated with Rioja red wines. Tempranillo is the pr imary red grape while Grenache and Carigan are also allowed.

South Africa a

South Africa wine industry began in the mid 17th Century when the founder of Cape Town, Jan van Riebeeck, produced the first wine recorded in South Africa; and was given a boost later in the century with the arrival of the French Huguenots, with many of them who had winemaking skills. Nowadays, South Africa includes many highly regarded wineries such as Glen Carlou, established in 1985 by one of the country’s most revered winemakers, the pioneering Walter Finlayson.

Chile e Chile is a most interesting wine country. The region has a long viticultural history for a “New World” wine region, Chilean vineyards were first established in the mid 16th century by the Spanish conquistadors. Then in the mid-18th century, several red and white wine varietals were introduced from Europe.

Chile has an ideal environment for growing grapes, the vineyards are protected by the Andes mountains, the oceans, the Atacama desert, the climate which has been described as midway between that of California and France. Because of its natural boundaries, Chile is one of the very region of the word that has never been infected by Phylloxera, this means they can use original rootstock rather than having to be crafted onto those that are Phylloxera resistant, this is a benefit also avoiding extra cost. And while Chilean wineries promote the “purity” of their wines as a positive element, their wines still remains very competitive and excellent value for money.

Due to the tremendous potential of the Chilean wine industry, Chile has also benefited from an influx of foreign investment and winemaking talent from California, Bordeaux and Spain, adding their own skills, technology and styles (one such improvement was the use of oak) and collaborating with Chilean wineries to produce new brands

Concha y Toro

In the early stage of wine industry development in Chile, Don Melchor Concha y Toro brought noble French grapevines from Bordeaux to pan in the Maipo Valley of Chile. Concha y Toro started exporting in 1933 and over the decade they acquired new vineyards, kept on investing and modernizing towards state of the art wine making technology

The diversity of soils and climates of its estates has allowed the Concha y Toro to have the widest diversity of wine varieties in the Chilean wine industry, from awarded fine wines to house wine selection such as Frontera, and many quality lines in between.

To provide new styles of wine aimed at different consumers, they joint even ventured with the expertise of specialists from Bordeaux and notable names such as Baron de Rothschild and have developed excellent fine wines such as Almaviva listed below and which have been acclaimed in publications such as the Robert Parker and Wine Spectator who also named Concha y Toro as the most significant wine producer in Latin America, while the Wine & Spirits magazine published a tribute to Concha y Toro for their achievements over the past 25 years.

A Carmenère blend aged in oak barrels. Very elegant; complex, a great deal of black fruit; plums and blackberries with hints of gooseberries and tobacco on the nose. The palate is well-structured, filling, vigorous and concentrated; with notes of bitter chocolate and sweet tannins. Thick with an oily texture, its rich fruity base ends in a long finish. Carmin di Peumo 2003 was rated 95 points by Wine & Spirits Magazine and 97 by Robert Parker.

Argentina a

Similarly as for Chile, Argentinean vineyards were first planted by Spanish Conquistadors in the 16th century. Nowadays Argentina is the largest wine producer in South America and the 5th largest in the world, yet they have only started exporting in the 1990’s. This recent “boom” in the Argentinean wine industry resulted on many wine makers facing on high quality.

Due to the high altitude and low humidity of the main wine producing regions, Argentine vineyards rarely face the problems of insects, fungi, moulds and other diseases that affect grapes in other countries. This permits cultivating with little or no pesticides, which is always best. Malbec is the mostly wildly planted grape, which produces rich, deep colored wines.

America a The first Europeans to explore North America called it Vinland because of the profusion of grape vines they found, the earliest wine made in what is now the United States was from native grapes by French Huguenot and In the early American colonies, wine making was an official goal. However, settlers would later discover that the native grapes were not ideal for the production of wine, as they did not like the taste. This led to repeated efforts to grow familiar grape varieties imported from Europe.

However native American wines have made an important contribution to the wine world as later it was discovered that they are phylloxera resistant, and their robust rootstocks are used for graft for most grape’s production, in most part of the wine producing world.

Today, California is leading the way in wine production followed by Washington State and Oregon.

California The California Gold Rush in the mid-19th century brought waves of new settlers to the region, increasing the population and local demand for wine. By the turn of the 20th century nearly 300 grape varieties were being grown in the state, supplying its nearly 800 wineries. However, in the beginning of Prohibition, vineyards were ordered to be uprooted and cellars were destroyed. Some vineyards and wineries were able to survive by converting to table grape or grape juice production, but most went out of business. By the time that Prohibition was repealed, only 140 wineries were still in operation. Then in the 1960s a new wave of winemakers emerged with a focus on new winemaking technologies and an emphasis on quality.

In 1976 the best of Californian wines were compared with the best of Bordeaux and Burgundy, In an event known as the “The Judgment of Paris”. Californian wines shocked the world by sweeping the wine competition in both the red and white wine categories and throughout the wine world, perspectives about the potential of California wines started to change. Today, California competes favorably in producing some of the word’s finest wines, mostly produced in the Napa Valley and counties of the North Coast such as Sonoma.

A wide variety of grape are planted in California, the most common however are Chardonnay for white wines, and Cabernet Sauvignon for red wines.

Australia a

Although Australia has had vineyards since the late 1700s, it wasn’t until the late 1950s that Australian winemakers really started to focus on production, and in 1980s Australian wines were commanding the attention of the rest of the world. Major grape varieties are Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Riesling.

Today Australia is the fourth largest wine exporter. Yet beside volume, high quality wines are produced and there are more than a few extremely rare options which never fail to earn the highest ratings from wine publications and critics throughout the world. Australia has established benchmarks for a number of varietals, such as Chardonnay and Shiraz.

Clarendon Hills

Clarendon Hills is situated in South Australia. It has received excellent reviews from both critics and publications alike, from The Wine Advocate to the Wine Companion and Wine Spectator, to being named as one of Robert Parker's “Wine Producers of the Year”.

All grapes are hand-picked, the juice is fermented using natural yeasts, the reds undergo a warm fermentation and an extended maceration. All the pressings are returned to Burgundian barrel and matured. The wines are then bottled without fining or filtration to capture the individual vineyard character. The above techniques are used to produce rich complex wines.

225064 Grenache Old Vines, Clarendon Vineyards

2002 1 x 75 CL 165.35

This vineyard is situated in the hills above the township of Clarendon, planted in 1920. The wine from the area is always very aromatic, with lovely scents of cherry, plum and with lavender and basil notes in the background.

225063 Grenache Old Vines, Blewitt Springs Vineyards

2001 1 x 75 CL 193.55

This vineyard produces deeply colored and very rich wine with full upfront raspberry fruit and a long aftertaste with abundant tannin in the finish.

225065 Syrah Piggot Range

2002 1 x 75 CL 644.26

This old ungrafted Syrah vineyard has a unique character. This vineyard is dry grown, The soil here is notable by its absence, just solid rocks. The vine roots have to work very hard to survive and produce small crops of deeply concentrated Syrah with high tannin levels.

Deep, rich scents of dark berries, sweet tobacco, licorice and musky, dark cherry. Richly concentrated with brooding flavors of kirsch, coffee liqueur, candied violet and fruitcake. Finishing with fresh acids and note of cherry pit. Syrah Piggot Range scored 92 points with the Wine Spectator.

225062 Syrah “Astralis”

2002 1 x 75 CL 1412.34

One of Australia's most prodigious Syrah, it is produced from vines Planted in the early 1930's, dry grown and yields about two tones to the acre. The soils are mainly clay, ironstone and gravel.

Syrah “Astralis” boasts off the charts intensity. With an opaque purple color, and notes of spring flowers, blueberries, blackberries, roasted coffee beans, pepper, smoke, and a hint of sweet toasty oak. This is a full-bodied, rich wine of remarkable intensity that represents the essence of a particular varietal as well as vineyard. It is a legendary Syrah and vintage 2002 scored 99 points with Robert Parker.

New Zealand d “New Zealand is home to what many wine critics consider the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc”. In the 1980s, wineries in New Zealand, especially in the Marlborough region, began producing outstanding, some critics said unforgettable, Sauvignon Blanc. "New Zealand Sauvignon inherited the best of both world—exotic aromas found in certain Sauvignon Blanc from the New World and the pungency and limy acidity of an Old World Sauvignon Blanc like Sancerre from the Loire Valley.

Amongst other grapes, wine producers have also planted much Pinot Noir due to the affinity between the grape type and the chalky soil present in Australia’s wine region, and similarly as Burgundy.

Mount Gay

Produced in Barbados since 300 years. Tales were told of sailors returning home with a barrel of Mount Gay in order to prove that they had reached Barbados, considered one of the most difficult islands in the Caribbean to reach. Mount Gay remains much involved in the sailing world nowadays.

In 2007 Mount Gay Rum, was chosen as the winner of the Luxury Institute’s “Luxury Brand Status Index” survey for premium rum. Perhaps it is no coincidence that the first drink James Bond orders in Casino Royale is not his trademark Martini, but a Mount Gay rum and soda!

Pyrat

Pyrat Rums are blended and produced on the island of Anguilla, using carefully selected Caribbean Rums. Pyrat offers authentic, old fashioned, aged Caribbean rum.

This famous rum collection was not named ”Pyrat” for hype.. Pyrat’s blenders strive to bring you the best original blends and formulas as developed and produced by CJ Planters in Anguilla in the 1800s, those are fine “connoisseur’s” blends which were already so popular with many of his discerning customers at the time… the worldly and infamous Pirates of the Caribbean!

Over the last 10 years Anguilla Rum negotiated the purchase of delicious aged rums from some of the Caribbean's finest rum producers. These high quality rums are carefully and uniquely blended and aged in special imported oak barrels. The result is uniqueness of flavor, body, aroma and color.

Cachaça Cachaça is made from sugar cane juice and not from molasses like rum, and the flavor is different. Brazil’s national drink and cocktail go hand in hand as there is no substitutes, only Cachaça should be used to produce an authentic and smooth Caipirinha, or Batida.

Rémy Martin is also well known for LOUIS XIII, Cognac which is manufactured using grapes from the Grande Champagne terroir of Cognac.
