HOURS: The Texas Folklife Festival is open Friday, 5-11 p.m.; Saturday,
10 a.m.-11 p.m.; and Sunday, noon-7 p.m. Admission is for the entire
day. If you wish to leave the grounds and return later in the day, please
be sure to have your hand stamped at the gate.
ENTERTAINMENT: The Festival’s 9 stages, located throughout the
grounds, feature all types of ethnic and cultural entertainment.
FOOD AND DRINKS: Food and drinks are sold by coupon only.
Coupons can be purchased for 50¢ each at booths located throughout
the grounds. Purchase of coupons ($20 minimum) with Visa,
MasterCard, or Discover is available at Booths 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12. See
Legend for locations. Visitors are prohibited from bringing ice chests,
pets, bicycles, or alcoholic beverages onto the Festival grounds.
CHECKS: No checks are cashed on the grounds or accepted for the
purchase of admission tickets or coupons.
AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINES: ATMs are available by Gates 3 and 4.
REFUNDS: The Festival does not provide refunds for admission tickets or
unused coupons.
RAIN: Festival festivities continue rain or shine, and no rain dates are
scheduled.
PARK-AND-RIDE: VIA Park-and-Ride services are available from
locations throughout the city, and a shuttle bus serves the downtown area.

DISABLED: There is no parking available on site for the disabled. The
grounds are used for the production of the Festival. On the grounds,
there are easy-access doors into the Institute on the front side (Flagpole
Street) and on the north side (Bowie Street) of the building and a ramp
from the patio to the veranda on the Back 40 side.
FIRST AID: The first aid station is located on Flagpole Street. See the
map for specific location.
SECURITY: Both security guards and members of the San Antonio
Police Department are on the grounds throughout the Festival. Please
report any problem or emergency immediately to the guard or officer
in your area or at the Security Desk on the lower level of the Institute.
All items brought onto the property are subject to search.
LOST CHILDREN: Lost children will be taken to the lower level Security
Desk. Identification tags for children are available at each of the entry
gates.
LOST AND FOUND: Claim or report lost articles at the lower level
Security Desk.
RESTROOMS: Portable toilets are located throughout the grounds. See
map. Restrooms can be found inside of the Museum.
PETS: No pets are allowed on the Festival grounds.
