    BJSS INTERNATIONAL COMBINED EVENTSCHAMPIONSHIP

    (BJSS ICE CHAMPIONSHIP)

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    1. Introduction

    The BJSS International Combined Events Championship (BJSS ICE) isbeing organized for the 2nd time this year with the aim of helping youngathletes to develop their essential motor abilities namely running,jumping and throwing especially those who are involved in the Track &Field.

    This competition is a track & field combined events championship. Theevents to be competed in the Combined Events Championship are:

    1.1. PENTATHLON (5 events) for the 13 years old.1) 80m Hurdles; 2) Long Jump; 3) 800m; 4) Shot Put; and 5) HighJump

    1.2. HEXATHLON (6 events) for the 14 years old.1) 100m; 2) 80m Hurdles (girls)/100m Hurdles (boys); 3) 800m; 4)

    Long Jump;5) High Jump; and 6) Shot Put.

    There will be also an inter-team Medley Relay race especially designedto enhance the athletes esprit de corps.

    4. Entry4.1. Entry to the competition is by invitation only and limited to 1

    team per schoolconsisting of 4 boys and 4 girls who are born in 1997 for the 14

    years old and

    1 team per school consisting of 4 boys and 4 girls who are born in1998 for the 13 years old group.

    4.2. Each team can register a maximum of3 officials of which 1 mustbe a female (1

    manager, 2 coaches) and 16 athletes(4 boys + 4 girls forthe 13 years old group)plus (4 boys + 4 girls for the 14 years old group).

    4.3. Invited teams are required to submit a preliminary list of officials

    and athletes onthe entry form enclosed.

    5. Costs5.1. No entry fee is charged for time being.5.2. Teams must make their own travel arrangements from their home

    country to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and back to their home countryafter the tournament.

    5.3. Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) will ONLYcover the followingexpenses for the registered officials and athletes:

    Accommodation at BJSS hostel (Air conditioned rooms: 4 person to aroom or dormitory with fans).

    Note: 1. Please bring along blanket, towel and personaltoiletries.

    Meals (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) at BJSS Dining Hall commencingfromLunch on 25 November 2010 until Lunch on 28 November 2010.

    Bottled mineral water during competition will be supplied.

    Airport transfers for arrival and departure at KLIA & LCCT, Sepang (Forforeign teams only).

    Any extra costs shall be borne by the teams concerned.

    old group for both events (Pentathlon, Hexathlon & Medley Relay).7.3. Challenge Trophy for the winning team for the Medley Relay

    event.

    2011.2. Teams preferring to stay in hotel shall make their

    own arrangementregarding travelling from airport to hotel, hotel to
