Interpretation of Hadith

There are three types of eyes whom hell fire will not touch - the eye which keeps itself shut from the things forbidden by Allah, the eye which guards the frontiers of Islam and remains open to keep vigil over it and the eye which constantly sheds tears out of Allah's fear.

The Prophet(pbuh) warned

Ali! Do not look once after another, for the first look is for you (since it happens accidentally) while the second is against you. {Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi}

Allah (swt) says in the Qur’an;

Then do not be too pleasant of speech, lest one in whose heart there is a disease should feel desire (for you).....

(Surah Al Ahzab 33: Verse 32)

Do not be alone with a non-mehram

The Prophet (PBUH) said,

"Whenever a man is alone with a woman, Satan (Shaytan) is the third among them" {Tirmidhi}

NO Physical Contact

The Prophet (PBUH) had no problem declaring in public that the women he selected as wives were the dearest and fondest beings to him.

But he never even touched a non-mehram woman.

The Prophet (PBUH) said,

"It is better for one of you to be pricked in the head with an iron pick than to touch a woman whom it is unlawful to touch."
