ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS This study was prepared by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) as part of the UN-Government of Viet Nam Joint Programme on Gender Equality (JP) in cooperation with the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), through the Vietnamese Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC) and the funding of MDG Achievement Fund (MDGF). The study contributes to work under JP output 2.2. Improved Partnership between mass organizations and government agencies to promote women economic empowerment, for which VCCI collaborates with UNIDO and the International Labour Organization (ILO). The lead researcher and primary author is Ms. Aime Hampel-Milagrosa, with the contributions by Mr. Pham Van Hong, Mr. Nguyen Anh Quoc, and Mr. Nguyen Tri Thanh.
