available, allowing endless opportunity for

customization. One of your first consider­

ations should be the selection of a setting,

which will immensely impact the style

and look of your earring. Usually there are

four main types of settings: the basket, the

prong, the bezel and the halo. To help you

make an informed decision, we have put

together a list of the most popular below.

·-Classic 4-Prong

Often referred to as a basket setting, this

is one of the most popular. The 4-prongs

securely surround your gem to hold it in

place while allowing light to shine through

from both the top and the sides, adding

Modern 3-Prong

Better known as a martini setting, this
