Upgrade ProcedureThis upgrade is divided into two parts: an upgrade to the Matrox drivers and an upgrade to the Geevs software. If you are only updating client computers, you do not require Matrox drivers and only have to update the Geevs software.

Server Upgrade

Your Geevs license number remains the same, but for security reasons you should make a backup copy of the xxxxxxxx.license file prior to the upgrade. You will find the license file in the folder C:\Program Data\Geevs\CFG.

Although this update should not alter any database or Geevs configuration data, it is recommended that you record all channel and client settings, and the EditShare setup where applicable.

Note: The update procedure must be implemented in full and in the following order:

• Checking the Matrox Card Model Number Page 7

• Downloading the Software Page 7

• Stopping the Geevs Server Page 8

• Gather Logs Page 9

• Backing Up the Geevs License Page 9

• Uninstalling the Existing Geevs Software Page 9

• Uninstalling the Existing Matrox Drivers Page 11

• Installing the New Matrox Drivers Page 11

• Installing the New Geevs Software Page 13

• Starting the Geevs Server Page 15

• Re-enabling the Avid DNxHD Codec Page 16
