Ichangedthelocationofthesnapringonthesplinetobettermakesurethesplinecannotslideoutoftheflywheeladaptertoofar.IamalsonotusingthepilotshaftonthesplineanymoreasIsuspectisforcestoomuchwearonthefemalesplineshaftteeth.Withoutthepilotshaftthesplineshouldbetterself-alignwiththeflywheeladapterandthefemalesplineshaft.

27. InstallthegearboxbackontotheH6engineplate.Makesuretogreasethespline,

flywheeladapterandgearboxfemalesplineshaftwellbeforeinstallation.28. Reinstallthepropelleronthegearboxpropellershaftandtorqueallpropeller

boltswith50ftlbs.29. Lettheproprotateacoupleoftimesbyengagingthestartermotor.Thiswillget

allthegearsandbearingswelllubricatedbeforefirststartoftheengine.

Originallocation.Splinecancomealmost¼”outoftheflywheeladapterbeforethesnapringcatchesonthegearboxside.

Newlocation.Splineisseatedthefull½”intotheflywheeladapterandcannotcomeoutanyfurtherduetothesnapringlocation.
