Configuring backup/autosave filesEnsuring a safety net for your work
▪ Two types of files to look out for:
1. Backup files (.bak)▪ Created when a .dwg file is manually saved and will be an exact copy of the .dwg file prior to last
save
▪ Saved in the same location as the .dwg file by default
▪ Set ISAVEBAK = 1 to enable
▪ Use MOVEBAK to change the save location especially if using network drives
2. Autosave Files (.sv$)▪ Files created by the autosave feature.
▪ Automatically deleted after a successful save is made
▪ Saved in TEMP folder by default
▪ Set ISAVEPERCENT to a non-zero value
▪ Use SAVETIME to set your preferred autosave interval
▪ Use SAVEFILEPATH to change the save location
