Genre a system of signs or symbols sings and themes by which a particular genre can be recognised e.g. the west-
hats, guns, horses, mountains/desert, Indians, cowboys and fighting

Horror movies are scary creepy and the main purpose is supposed tov scare the audience and the setting is typically in a graveyard or an old/haunted house

A romantic movie is usually based around two main characters and their love the aim of these types for features are to show the highs of love
COMEDY
Comedy is a genre of film in which the main emphasis is on humour. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement and most often work by exaggerating characteristics for humorous effect.
