1. How do you prepare pupils for the Photo Card?NB: Helen Myers' words usually a transcript of Jennie's words via video.

Eva Lamb:Hi all; I am Eva from Sheffield. Jennie King:jennie king here French and Spanish up in Newcastle Jennie King:PALM and Weather for photcards Elaine Bocking:Chatty mats Sylvie B-R:photo cards from year 7 Rebecca Wylie:Use similar activities as starter tasks Isabelle Rodriguez:start in Year 7 Helen Myers:Starty lesson with a photo Isabelle Rodriguez:using suggested answers in a grid Sylvie B-R:people Tracy Williams:We use PALM - people, action, location, mood Tom Hockaday:People Action Location Mood Helen Myers:PALM - peopel adjectuive location mood weather Eva Lamb:To get them used to talking (guessing) what went on before (past tense) + what will happen next (future tense) - I use video stills, e.g. a scene from an animated cartoon. For German, good old Loriot is ideal (Fruhestucksei went down a treat!! - when we did topic food/meals). Sadie Streatfield:introducing from year 7 and then Facts/impressions and opinions for photos valerie smith:photo as starter with mat as support Helen Myers:Have quesiton words around the picture Tom Hockaday:Key language phrases, stock verbs in various tenses, repetition repetition repetition! Helen Myers:high frequency words Isabelle Rodriguez:I create a grid next to the photo with the words that need to used to describe the photo (and I add a few extra) and students have to recreate the sentence Helen Myers:8 verbs and three tenses - to be typed later - Helen Myers:to have , be, do make, like etcx .... Tom Hockaday:We've found the verbs specified in the RoutesIntoLanguage Year 9 translation bee very useful as a starting point in the three tenses

Helen Myers:at leasst 48 things Helen Myers:most unusual card - contorversial pictures Sylvie B-R:use the basic writing picture to scaffold sp and writ. Rosemary Hicks:I also liked the idea of getting people to say a verb and then change tense then put into negative use a different negatvie Helen Myers:deliberately random photos Helen Myers:learning mat - lots of connectoves, exclamation phrases whic are authentic Helen Myers:teacht ehm to row / disagree Helen Myers:essential that they include quesitoning Tracy Williams:Helen - why is it vital to include questionning? Charlotte Garratt:Has anyone tried the reverse idea to practise this i.e. pupils listening to a modelled description of a photo and drawing / annotating a basic 'photo'. You then reveal the photo and see if their sketch / notes are similar to the photo? Helen Myers:Newcastle says that they arer expected fro role play .. so might as well include in picture Vicky Prior:To practise structures useful for photocards, we put two sentences on a powerpoint by a picture and count down, giving students time to read the phrases then they repeat the correct sentence Sylvie B-R:practise questions as often as possible to get used to phrasing. Sylvie B-R:no for card but yes for role pl Vicky Prior:then try to beat their partner to say the correct sentence

2. How do you prepare pupils for the Role Play?

Elodie Jugue (Derby):coucou ma poulette :) Elodie Jugue (Derby):sorry I typed in the wrong place! Emilie B:coucou! Emilie B:je crois que c'est pour moi ;) Elodie Jugue (Derby):I used the very old role plays as well as sample assessments Sylvie B-R:speed dating starters on topic. Rebecca Wylie:Yes, we've just discovered these on the exam board website (Eduqas) Tom Hockaday:Dig out the old role-play cards from pre-2009 ! Helen Myers:Classroom routines Rebecca Wylie:Love speed dating Sylvie. Haven't done it for a while Tom Hockaday:I've started a database of French edexcel roleplay instructions etc and will add to over the years Helen Myers:bil dup sentences from starters .. Sofia B:Speed-dating too. I do one round where they are aloud their notes and second round, they have to keep their book closed. Rosemary Hicks:We use speed dating a lot too Helen Myers:offer options .. when asking quesitons Tom Hockaday:Do a role-play at the start/end of every lesson, repetition repetition repetition Helen Myers:regular pair work Helen Myers:dig out old aqa roel play cards Tom Hockaday:Very important to be able to form questions from scratch Sofia B:And I add a few "Surprise question" on the board. Which for more confident pupils, which they can attempt to respond to on the spot Helen Myers:make sure pupils aware that if quesiton is asked in past, the unexpected wuill be in a future Helen Myers:need fro a mock Helen Myers:note that mocks can put pupisl off Rosemary Hicks:Also remember that most of the marks come from the conversation

Vicky Prior:Yes Rosemary, I think that's important to remember Charlotte Garratt:Various dice games to generate different questions Sylvie B-R:If you have iPads record children doing role play tasks right from year 7. Voice recorder Tom Hockaday:Do a role-play task as a whole class with each kid contributing a single word in turn Charlotte Garratt:Quiz Quiz Trade Charlotte Garratt:Qui est Jacques Elodie Jugue (Derby):quiz quiz trade? Sylvie B-R:Quiz, quiz trade: French to English translation. Elodie Jugue (Derby):and quiz quiz trade please Charlotte? Helen Myers:select a pupil to go out of the classroom Sylvie B-R:can you give an example Jennifer:Unclear! Guest:Laura: Yes, I do that, kids love it! Guest:I call it dónde está Juan or Juana Isabelle Rodriguez:it's a bit like le chef d'orchestre Richard:and everyone who gives the wrong answer will be lying through their teeth - badly Tom Hockaday:Like this idea Sylvie B-R:I like it. Rebecca Wylie:Love love love that! Sylvie B-R:Yes it is like chef d'orchestre Guest:Laura: I give the detective 4 goes, then divide the class into two groups! It´s great Helen Myers:Peter Morris talk project Helen Myers:use of reward in a lesson Helen Myers:mini merits Sylvie B-R:we give Warrior Linguist Merits Helen Myers:mini action research project with one class to see if you can do thids Helen Myers:'collectors' Rebecca Wylie:we give out sticky dots for spontaneous use of TL. 3 get a merit Helen Myers:a mind map for talk Lynne Coulthwaite (Kendal):What is chef d'orchestre please ? Helen Myers:learnign journal Rebecca Wylie:Like wink murder Lynne Charlotte Garratt:I dont know a huge amount about it but I believe Orangery Education uses a group talk concept Elaine Bocking:I use points each time pupils participate and they count these up each lesson and get rewards when they reach a certain number Josh S:I've just found it on TES - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/spontaneous-use-of-target-language-in-mfl-6135123 Helen Myers:Peter Morri s- does a road show - Helen Myers:north east in September Helen Myers:He has a blog Rosemary Hicks:I have found a file about it amongst my files and will read about it Tom Hockaday:Peter speaks quite a bit round the South-West. Very very good. Vicky Prior:Lynne - it's like the Jacques game, the students have a list of phrases and keep repeating one of them, with an agreed secret sign to change sentence. When the detective comes in, s/he has to work out the sign and the person doing it. Charlotte Garratt:http://www.orangeryeducation.co.uk/training-consultancy/encouraging-spontaneous-talk Helen Myers:Julie Hall - ask her to do a presentation

3 How do you prepare pupils for the Conversation?

Tom Hockaday:Most people agree that whilst they don't want to prep a list of questions and answers for kids to learn, however being realistic, we all are! Helen Myers:Most agreed - all working from a series of quesitons Helen Myers:6 common tasks: Rebecca Wylie:Use the same structures in all the topics Tom Hockaday:Lots of schools using the question lists in the back of the Pearson textbooks Helen Myers:holidays Helen Myers:fmaily an drelationships Helen Myers:leisrue activities Helen Myers:home and region Helen Myers:school Helen Myers:future plans Helen Myers:this si what an examiner says! Helen Myers:Pupil will niminate th efurst topic Guest:Laura: So glad to hear this Tom! Helen Myers:school has th eright to nominate the second Vicky Prior:I don't think that's the case on Edexcel - there's a designated grid Vicky Prior:(that you can pick both topics) Tom Hockaday:Edexcel have a very clear system of topics and sub-topics, so important that teachers know what they are doing. Also the student can introduce the first topic (which they have chosen in advance) with a one-minute presentation. Amanda Howell (Northampton):they choose their chosen topic first Sylvie B-R:Not the case with AQA Tracy Williams:There's definitely a grid for Edexcel - the pupil selects the first theme area and the Edexcel pick the second. Amanda Howell (Northampton):from one theme Amanda Howell (Northampton):can I talk? Tom Hockaday:Edexel grid for which photo / role-play / conversation topics they have is the most confusing thing I've ever seen! Guest:Laura: I am using Edexcel too and that´s the structure Amanda Howell (Northampton):I have info from another aqa meeting Louise:Amanda press the hand up figure at the top left Amanda Howell (Northampton):but is kind of is right! Helen Myers:ACTION .. look at what the sutuation is for themes Guest:Laura: Edexcel´s conversation is the same as what it used to be before 2009 Helen Myers:prpe fro speaking will eb inherently linked ewith speaking Helen Myers:booklets Helen Myers:not reams of questions Charlotte Garratt:Can I please ask how teachers are recording or building up the question and answers for their pupils? Section in exercise book, folder etc? Thanks Tom Hockaday:Lots of schools using google drive/docs or similar for students writing answers, to avoid things getting lost etc. Tracy Williams:We have a separate book for speaking questions. Josh S:Definitely using Google Drive / OneDrive etc Elodie Jugue (Derby):we will have a mini booklet Guest:Laura: conversation books like pre 2009 Sylvie B-R:We have a section in file Amanda Howell (Northampton):we have an exercise book Elaine Bocking:Exercise book and pupils photograph answers on phones Sadie Streatfield:We have a booklet

Rebecca Wylie:Questions as we go along. But are considering a separate book Rosemary Hicks:I am going to use a different book for speaking Josh S:Disaster if it gets lost so either use online resources or make lots of copies... Amanda Howell (Northampton):trying to give key structures rather than whole answers to learn Elodie Jugue (Derby):good point Josh! valerie smith:we have a booklet Isabelle Rodriguez:we have a separate homework book (A5 size) that is mostly for prep for speaking or writing Amanda Howell (Northampton):books kept at school Charlotte Garratt:Brilliant, very helpful, thanks Tom Hockaday:We're doing exactly the same Helen Tom Hockaday:For the mock speaking exam next week we're only using the topics in the chapters we've done so far Josh S:Love the idea Helen - do you have one you could share? Richard:TES has some great speaking booklets that my school downloaded/used Elodie Jugue (Derby):could we have Charlotte explaining about the 2nd topic? Tracy Williams:The need to be spontaneous. Rebecca:That's great- is there any chance an example of this could be uploaded afterwards? Elodie Jugue (Derby):no Amanda, sorry Josh S:Thank you, Helen :) Clara Dolan:We must write it at the front of their books for show, rewrite at the back of the book AND I have insisted that pupils use an online version so nothing gets lost.... That gets marked too!! Richard:https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/aqa-gcse-french-speaking-booklets-11420277 Helen Myers:Action: HEM share example Helen Myers:Good idea to [ractise and keep Tracy Williams:We did some Edexcel speaking training and the need to be spontaneous was very clear. Tom Hockaday:Yes Tracy - the exam boards will always say that Tom Hockaday:As it will be a requirement from Ofqual etcx Tracy Williams:To access the higher marks it is imperative Josh S:I love the Rachel Hawkes idea of 'planned spontaneity' - i.e. they know they will be asked certain questions, but no idea in what order (and maybe you might change it a little bit (i.e. make a question negative)) Tracy Williams:I agree with Josh Tom Hockaday:Spontaneity a great aim. But reality often encourages us in another direction. Tracy Williams:The idea is that they can control the conversation a little bit Vicky Prior:My aim is to start with an open 'planned' question Tracy Williams:Depending on how they answer depends on what the next question is Elodie Jugue (Derby):is worth studnts asking questions too? Vicky Prior:and then depending on ability follow up from that Vicky Prior:and then start again with an open quesiton. Tom Hockaday:We're doing lots of training for reclycing the words in the question into their answer. This then gives an element of building a sentence from scratch and spontaneity. Tracy Williams:That's exactly what we are going to do Vicky. Vicky Prior:Elodie, I think they have to Helen Myers:advice from examiner - link speaking / grammar Tom Hockaday:Yes agree with keeping writing and speaking together as far as possible Rosemary Hicks:We're doing that too. Josh S:I've more experience doing IGCSE where there has been the 'spontaneous' nature recently. I tell my students that they might feel a moment of panic when they think they don't

have material for a question, but then they'll quickly realise that if I'm asking about e.g. their least favourite sport, they can use everything they have prepared for a favourite sport question

4. How do you prepare pupils for the Unprepared writing?

Helen Myers:7 concerns .. Sylvie B-R:Organising praragraphs and structure. Helen Myers:is length sufficient to access high grades? Helen Myers:looked in detail at marking criteria Helen Myers:concerns with virtually no error Tom Hockaday:Some schools getting kids to rote-learn a massive grid of key verbs and phrases in three tenses and this is the first thing they write on the exam paper when they sit down. They use this throughouth the exam to help build their answers, and then cross it out and write 'rough work' over it in big letters. Sylvie B-R:Wowzers structures to recycle. Helen Myers:Is there adequate time? Helen Myers:There is time ... Tom Hockaday:YES to a rough draft and then a final draft during the actual exam Helen Myers:so use th edraft / redraft methods .. to learn the art fo autocorrection Helen Myers:chief examoner talked a lot about complexity Sylvie B-R:Redrafting as DIRT task in pair work. Tracy Williams:On the Edexcel mark scheme it says "students are not expected to produce perfect, error free writing in order to access the top bands as errors are also made by native speakers. The mark scheme looks at the frequency of errors and the impact that errors have on coherence Elaine Bocking:It is important to remember that it is time frames not tenses Elodie Jugue (Derby):what sort of complexity is needed? this is what I struggle to gauge Sylvie B-R:Easier to spot someone's mistakes. Tom Hockaday:Key thing to remember is the level of language and complexity will be MUCH lower than teachers are used to with controlled assessments. Lots of teachers who have only taught since controlled assessment are really worried about this. Isabelle Rodriguez:I teach a mixed-ability group - I did a lesson which went well - starter was remember 5 adjectives to describe towns, 4 verbs we use to describe town/area, 3 high level opinion structures, 2 connetives they never have used before and 1 negative structure. We then moved on to describing a phto after feedback. lower abbility had to choose 4 sentences which matched the photo and Higher ability had to write description using criteria. We then moved on to a 90 word task. Elodie Jugue (Derby):what is AVOCADO? Helen Myers:Adjective Sylvie B-R:adjectives, Helen Myers:verb Josh S:CROATIANS -- connectors, reasons, opinions, adjetives, tenses, intensifiers, adverbs, negatives, set phrases Charlotte Garratt:CAROTT - connectives / adjectives / reasons / opinions / time phrases / tenses Helen Myers:opinion Helen Myers:connective Sylvie B-R:adverbs Rosemary Hicks:The point Tom makes is a valid one because pupils are having to think on the spot and not regurgitate stuff that they may not understand. Josh S:I don't like AVOCADO because surely verbs they'll be using anyway. I find the idea of CROATIANS better as it's the stuff you're ADDING to the basics

7

Page 8: GCSE 9-1 Part 1 unedited transcripts - ALL Web viewTom Hockaday:Edexcel have a very clear system of topics and sub-topics, ... I've more experience doing IGCSE where there has been

Elodie Jugue (Derby):SORD - Statement, opinion, reasons, development valerie smith:pindotls: person/invitation/negatives/descriptions/opinions/tenses/links/sparkle Tom Hockaday:Get the kids to learn a dozen or so amazing connectives or really complex things, write them down in a list at the start of the exam, then they tick them off as they use them in their writing. Rebecca Wylie:My colleague is finding teaching mixed ability quite challenging Tracy Williams:I use OBE - opinion / because / expand - and I tell them to expand in another tense if they can Helen Myers:sequins Rebecca Wylie:We say FOJ - fact opinion justification Tracy Williams:We have always had mixed ability Isabelle Rodriguez:mixed ability can be frustrating! Helen Myers:ACTION - HOW TDO YOU TEACH MIXED ABILITY Helen Myers:MNEMONICS FOR CONTENT AN DQUALITY /.... Tom Hockaday:There's enough time in the writing exam for the kids to spend a few minutes writing their own crib sheet and check lists etc that they then use for the rest of the paper

5. How do you prepare pupils for the Translation?

Sylvie B-R:regular quiz, quiz, trade as starter Helen Myers:Translation happens by accident - Helen Myers:no need to teach in year 10 Sylvie B-R:right from year 7 in vocav test structures Rebecca Wylie:We start in year 7 - 3 short sentences as a starter. Make them more complex with each one and transfer language to diff circumstances Helen Myers:by creatoing able linguists translation wioll happen regardless Charlotte Garratt:'opticians' charts for scaffolded translation activities e.g. J.J.A.F I play football Sylvie B-R:test in context. See posting on Secondary MFL Matter Rebecca Wylie:You translate naturally iin lessons. Tom Hockaday:Lots of schools have added transaltion (in both directions) into their formal assessments throughout KS3 Josh S:Sylvie - loved that idea too Rebecca Wylie:We have Tom Sylvie B-R:Love the potician charts Vicky Prior:Spotting grammar issues is important for translation Richard:my y9 end of year exam had short sentences translated into TL, and a short paragraph to translate into EN... Rebecca Wylie:It's making sure they are using good TL Guest:Laura; adding them in KS3 for sure! Tom Hockaday:Agree with Rebecca - translation is MFL. It's just the exam technique and translation longer passages. Sadie Streatfield:Quiz Quiz trade, starting in year 7 with short phrases, statements around the oitside to get them to think about differences in language structures Sylvie B-R:opticians ;-) Tracy Williams:I agree with Jennie - it's the art of writing in natural sounding English valerie smith:we have added translation tpp in our end of year exam at ks3 Charlotte Garratt:Dominoes and Tarsia also good for translation starters / plenary Elaine Bocking:We have put this into all exams Sylvie B-R:same sentence indifferent tenses Rebecca Wylie:It's the emphasis on GOOD TL or GOOD Eng Helen Myers:not précis - make sur eit soind Eng;lish

8

Page 9: GCSE 9-1 Part 1 unedited transcripts - ALL Web viewTom Hockaday:Edexcel have a very clear system of topics and sub-topics, ... I've more experience doing IGCSE where there has been

Tom Hockaday:Making links between different sentences to notice patterns in time frames etc Rebecca Wylie:We aren't. Rosemary Hicks:Teachit languages was mentioned quite a bit Elodie Jugue (Derby):certainly relying on Kerboodle Rebecca Wylie:haha! Vicky Prior:neither are we Charlotte Garratt:Didnt hear the q sorry Emilie B:I have given them a tense booklet with at least 10 tenses Tom Hockaday:Didnt' hear the question sorry Tracy Williams:We are using the Studio book quite heavily - just because we don't have enough time to create our own at the moment Isabelle Rodriguez:teach it is free if you download the PDF files Rebecca Wylie:Like teachit, This is language, KLAR, audio lingua, Mary Glasgow Sylvie B-R:website linked to AQA sow Rosemary Hicks:http://www.teachitlanguages.co.uk/ Lynne Coulthwaite (Kendal):i think there is free access for some activities for teachit languages Isabelle Rodriguez:Teach it is owned by AQA Richard:I hate kerboodle - foundation is beyond y9, higher is beyond y10... so we're creating loads of resources to prepare for the kerboodle activities Rebecca Wylie:This is Language is expensive but works really well. Vicky Prior:We haven't replaced our course books yet, beairng in mind they were made before all the specifications were agreed made us wary to think they're the answer to everything. Tom Hockaday:Not solely, but most schools heavily using textbooks Elaine Bocking:yes some of it is free Sylvie B-R:No Sadie Streatfield:We are using Studio and Stimmt quite closely but suppllementing when we can - particularly to differntiate Sylvie B-R:only have digital textbook Rosemary Hicks:We are creating a lot of our own based on the work in the textbook Rebecca Wylie:We don't use text books in KS3 either though LBrown:I'm trying to include some of my own translation texts but often using the textbook as a starting point.

6. Which Resources do you find the most helpful for preparing for the new specification?

Isabelle Rodriguez:Pearsons - Viva and Studio with Active Teach Tom Hockaday:MEMRISE ! But would really like the exam boards and publishers to publish approved lists! Isabelle Rodriguez:TeachIt Languages Charlotte Garratt:Memrise :) Elodie Jugue (Derby):quizlety Isabelle Rodriguez:Yes, memrise! Elaine Bocking:teach it, this is languages, memrise, quizlet Sylvie B-R:Quizlet Rebecca Wylie:This is language, memrise, study stack, quizlet Vicky Prior:Still have Expo textbooks and supplement with some additional things of our own, occasionally dip into a teacher copy of Studio for the 'newer' topics Tracy Williams:We are using studio and viva with active teach. We can only afford books for the teachers though. LBrown:Kahoot, quizlet live

9

Page 10: GCSE 9-1 Part 1 unedited transcripts - ALL Web viewTom Hockaday:Edexcel have a very clear system of topics and sub-topics, ... I've more experience doing IGCSE where there has been

Rosemary Hicks:We use Viva and activteach also quizlet Tom Hockaday:Pearson textbooks - very happy with these Elaine Bocking:vocab express Rebecca Wylie:audio lingua Tracy Williams:We love memrise too! Sadie Streatfield:Studio/Stimmt with active learn, quizlet Sylvie B-R:Secondary mfl on FB Charlotte Garratt:lyrics training is fun Anita Welsh:Studio/quizlet Elodie Jugue (Derby):lyrics training is very fun! Emilie B:quizlet is fab! Sylvie B-R:Created own YouTube Channel for MFL dpt in school Charlotte Garratt:Duolingo for independent pupil study Tom Hockaday:https://lyricstraining.com/ Dadr-Ann Williams:This is language, memrise, lyrics training Richard:can someone collate a list of the AQA vocab lists, on quizlet, that would be great Vicky Prior:all the online resources featuring heavily for us too Rosemary Hicks:I'd forgotten about lyrics training clara ampah-korsah:Studio and Viva AQA and various websites and create our own dictations also good Sylvie B-R:Done TRichard Helen Myers:ACTION .. give links to word lists Elaine Bocking:le volet and greve Charlotte Garratt:I have a question about which vocab you upload to Memrise - do you use the vocab per spread in the text book or the specification Emilie B:I am starting Zoom next year in Spanish at KS3 Tracy Williams:Charlotte - we are using the lists in the text book. Rebecca Wylie:vocab in the spec Isabelle Rodriguez:specification Sylvie B-R:in spec Charlotte Garratt:Great Helen, me too Sadie Streatfield:I use the text book too Tom Hockaday:We use the textbook vocab Dadr-Ann Williams:Vocab in Specification Elodie Jugue (Derby):I use the textbook too Emilie B:yes textbook too Elaine Bocking:we have typed up all the words for a pair work activity in all languages and these are great to use Tom Hockaday:Then the spec vocab lists and revision guide in second half of Y11 clara ampah-korsah:Use textbooks as a base and then supplement Guest:Laura Vocab books from Edexcel Elodie Jugue (Derby):I love using task magic Emilie B:unless I create my own and then I use that instead Rebecca Wylie:www.classtools.net is good - lighthearted comp games Helen Myers:Regualr vocabn testing Richard:is there a way to share taskmagic activities too, since I'm sure we're all creating similar resources? Isabelle Rodriguez:My KS4 students have little vocab jotter for independent collating of vocab Tom Hockaday:Are people still doing traditional vocab tests (which takes up lesson time) or just counting points totals on memrise etc? Rebecca Wylie:we do Tom Elaine Bocking:mine self select which words they learn Emilie B:if I put it on Quizlet then I can import it straight into TaskMagic

Charlotte Garratt:Slow news is also good for more able pupils, dont have a specific link Richard:eg Helen - your Echo 2 Module with textivate vocab - it's amazing Isabelle Rodriguez:I create a lot of games on Smartboard which you just have to adapt Charlotte Garratt:Tom, I only use the Memrise points and time spent but I'm still learning (NQT!) Vicky Prior:Rachel Hawkes in London had nice ideas about Vocab Testing Rebecca Wylie:It only takes about 5 mins as a starter Rebecca Wylie:That's a great idea Helen Vicky Prior:doing it in context e.g. not at word level but phrase level. The key vocab item gets the answer right/wrong, but it includes context and also sueful for translation and showing manipulation of language. Charlotte Garratt:Good point Vicky, that could be a limitation of Memrise Tom Hockaday:Like the idea of vocab tests as phrases Sofia B:I have started doing vocab tests too because they were not using Quizlet/ memorising vocab consistently. Sylvie B-R:Here is the link to Rachel's ppt: http://www.rachelhawkes.com/PandT/2018_GCSE/2018GCSE.php Helen Myers:lingvist Richard:I recently discovered Quizizz - a great quiz website similar to kahoot but each pupil has a different word - and then you can get an email with the results at the end (no copying, instant feedback to pupil and teacher) Rebecca Wylie:We just test from TL into Eng Sofia B:If they get less than 10 out 15, they come back to redo the test. Sylvie B-R:I like quizizz a lot Elaine Bocking:i put unknown words on cards as we meet them and put them around school a few weeks later for pupils to see again and then retest them Elodie Jugue (Derby):oh that is nice Elaine! Vicky Prior:Variation Translation, I think he called it Helen Elaine Bocking:all year groups want to join in as well Rebecca Wylie:Like that Elaine! Sylvie B-R:who does this Elaine? Elaine Bocking:usually the KS4 groups but many others want to join in Sylvie B-R:Thanks.
