View this email in your browser Letter from the President Almost 10 years ago, GCC began as a company that provided compression optimization for client owned and/or rented reciprocating compression. We used our understanding of current and future operating condition requirements and applied this information to addressing facility pressure losses, packaging proper Hp cylinder sizing, and loading/unloading for the conditions. Optimization provided our clients with immediate results of improved production as well as reduced operating costs. Our proficiency and success with optimization extended into client requests to assist in the station or gathering system expansion of existing facilities. In 2007, GCC began designing and managing the installation of new Greenfield compression facilities which has resulted in the installation of over 50 stations and 250,000 Hp. We now are not only building new facilities, but also our gathering and facility optimization capability has grown to be much more comprehensive to meet the sophisticated needs of our clients. Today, our optimization projects have grown from 10 to 30 MMSCFD facilities to systems that generate more than 600 MMSCFD. GCC NewsletterIn 2014 GCC now has the capability to take theproject from a study to full project completion, providing design and engineering, RFQ solutions, project BOMs and project management of the workto completion. With the expansion and combining oflegacy and new gathering systems and the influx ofHigh BTU rich gas to the mix, the GCC multi-disciplinedapproach to optimization is mandatory forany well-developed gathering, compression andprocessing operation. Of course the back in the dayapproach still works for me and many of our clientsshort term needs. All the best,Wayne R. The project is very creative froma cost and operations standpoint providing bothclean dry fuel for field distribution, sales tohttp://us8.campaign-archive2.com/?u=87e26da4fb7d5c1888b60ae5c&id=b78ff01601&e=[UNIQID][7/21/2014 12:01:19 PM] 4. GCC Newslettermarket of excess gas, and hydrocarbonrecovery.DesignThe second project is a little out of our normalscope but very challenging. This projectincluded the design and engineering of aportable pumping unit building. The mandate ofthe design was that the building needed to meetall local codes and environmental requirements,be strong enough to be lifted from a single point, have no foundation and be deconstructed into 6pieces and transported to other sites for rapiderection with no welding required.OptimizationTwo projects that we are in the middle of areboth optimization projects. The first is a Permian Basin low pressureassociated gas gathering system the includedhttp://us8.campaign-archive2.com/?u=87e26da4fb7d5c1888b60ae5c&id=b78ff01601&e=[UNIQID][7/21/2014 12:01:19 PM] 5. GCC Newsletter2500 sq. mi. of gathering lines, 23 compressorsand an amine processing station. Our role is toprovide the detailed analysis of the system, documentation of infrastructure improvements, for AFE justification. The second project near Shreveport, LA is theanalysis of 590 MMscfd residue gas stream. The goal is to upgrade the piping, gasreciprocating and gas turbine centrifugalcompression to reliably handle and increasedprocessing stream of 650 MMscfd residue gasExpanding Capabilities & OptimizationProcessing services continue to be a growing needon our projects. In response we have recentlyexpanded our software modelingcapabilities,Expanding capabilities. We have alsoincluded a case study based off of a completed GCCOptimization project.
