WARNINGS•Should the oil-hydraulic operator be removed from its place for

maintenance, make sure that the hydraulic locking device isreleased, tighten the oil reservoir plug and remove the electricmotor cables from their terminals in the control box.Switch off the mains to the system.

•Dispose properly of the packaging materials (such as cardboard,polystyrene, nylon).

•The whole apparatus must be properly earthed by means of thespecifically provided screw.

Compact oil-hydraulic barrier fitted withanodized aluminium beam; suitable forcommercial applications and for car parkswhere heavy duty open/close operations arerequired. Reliable and weatherproof; thehousing is entirely made of sheet steelspecially treated to provide a galvanizedcoating for a long lasting finish with epoxypaint in yellow colour. It is possible to reachthe mechanism that operates the beam andthe electronic control box through a lockabledoor with a coded key. The oil-hydraulicmechanism, ie. motor/pump/valve assemblyis compact, capable of fast operations,smooth running and is fitted with adampening device to slow down speed inboth directions of movement. The beam iscounterbalanced to perform regular, smoothmovements without jerking. The beam in itshorizontal position is supported by a foldingpedestal or by a fixed post having a fork-shaped end. With both options it is possibleto adjust the height from ground level bymeans of alignment adjustments, which alsoset the stop position of the motor pumpthrough the limit switches with incorporatedmicro-switches. The electronics is locatedinside the housing.If manual operation is required in event of apower failure, the barrier has an “emergencyrelease” which is fitted to the by-pass valveassembly at the bottom of the oil reservoirof the motor pump unit. The angular speedof the beam is 4-5 seconds and is factorypre-set, therefore it is not possible to changeit once installed. Barri 88 is designed as ahanded unit. At the time of the order it isrequested to specify right-hand or left-handmaking reference to the position of the beamin relation to the door normally situated to

the inside of the property (see drawing atthe back of the brochure). Barri 88 is producedin one speed version; the length of the beamis 4 m and can be cut to measure to meetthe site requirements. It is entirely producedby Meccanica Fadini and undergoescontinuous tests to control the manufacturingprocess and ensure a quality product.
