    A Message from the Principal

    Year 3 and 4 students will be returning from for their big adventure at Camp Manung tomorrow. Camp Manung is anoutdoor education camp at Mount Eliza. Students have the opportunity to join in activities, such as, the flying fox, geocaching, the giant swing, archery initiatives, bush cooking, low ropes and beach games. Thanks to Mr McLean andteachers for organising this event and to parents who attended; Melissa Waters, Nathan Weston, Emily Gale, SarahGlezer, Greg Niven and Andrew Browning. Parent support for the program is greatly appreciated.Students have begun their dance sessions in preparation for the school production Lost and Found The Journey ofthe Toys. Lee will organise a parent helpers meeting shortly to discuss costumes. We will be asking parents toassist with costume making and creating props.

    Ready, Set, Prep programGlenferrie Primary School will be providing the opportunity for 2014 Preps to come to the Ready, Set, Prep program inTerm 3. If you would like to enrol in the Ready, Set, Prep program, please collect an enrolment form from the Office.

    Term 2 Fundraiser Entertainment BookPurchase the 2013 2014 Entertainment Book for $65.00 through the Office and the school receives

    $13.00 per book from the company.

    Jeans for Genes DayJeans for Genes Day is a national day when people wear their jeans to raise much-needed funds forresearch into birth defects and diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, and a range of genetic disorders.

    Jeans for Genes Day is on Friday 2 August. On that day there will be an option of free dress for a goldcoin donation. There will also be merchandise (pens, bracelets, lip balm etc.) available to buy, rangingfrom $3.00 to $8.00.
