Almost too good to be true!To protect assets and reputation at GattiTown Sugarland, Coreveillance’s video management system was used to boost on-site security and protect against theft and fraud.

Located in one of the most affluent and fastest-growing cities in Texas, just about 20 miles southwest of downtown Houston, GattiTown Sugarland is a family fun center located on Highway 6, between Williams Trace and Settler’s Way. The 57,000 sq. ft. facility features an all-you-care-to-eat buffet that serves the popular Mr. Gattis pizza and a huge games midway consisting of arcade games, laser tag, go-karts and bumper cars.

Managing over 120 employees, general manager James Sowell adds to his busy daily schedule overseeing the kitchen operations, the game room which consists of hundreds of arcade video games, maintaining an unparalleled customer service, as well as coordinating birthday parties, corporate events and family reunions.Greeting hundreds of guests from different walks of life every day, GattiTown Sugarland unfortunately has its fair share of incidents, such as theft and pickpocketing. With customers occasionally losing their phones or wallets, Sowell tried to compensate with discounts and a stellar customer service.

However, “it was not effective enough,” said Sowell. “We weren’t able to help much since we couldn’t pull up any solid forensic evidence; customers just lost that ‘spark’ and never returned.”

Expecting a quality camera system to allow businesses to prevent theft, Sowell was amazed by the quality of Coreveillance’s cameras. “The lack of hi-quality cameras was very troublesome,” he continued. “However, with Coreveillance, we no longer have that issue.” Moreover, Coreveillance’s video analytics provides the preventive approach Sowell expected. “Coreveillance’s video analytics gives me a peace of mind knowing I am able to take immediate appropriate actions for issues that arise, even when I’m away from the office,” said Sowell.

“The lack of hi-quality cameras was very troublesome. However, with Coreveillance,

we no longer have that issue.”

Fewer Cameras to Meet Standards“The zooming capabilities, image clarity, and advanced search and playback features of the Coreveillance’s video management software help us capture the smallest detail to better protect guests and secure assets,” affirmed Sowell. “I only need one Coreveillance’s HD camera to capture multiple images for broader and more detailed coverage at a significant cost savings,” said Coreveillance’s IT manager Mike Diaz. GattiTown tried using other cameras, but was unable to achieve the image clarity needed. “Our surveillance capabilities are just as sophisticated, if not more, than a lot of the big casinos that have invested in the more expensive PTZ cameras,” Diaz added.

Broad coverage on budgetSowell is confident he has invested in the most advanced surveillance system available to capture the image clarity needed to comply with the corporate’s customer satisfaction and safety requirements. “Our old system was slow, difficult to use, and unreliable, making it difficult to reach the level of surveillance we needed,” concluded Sowell. “By deploying Coreveillance’s high-definition surveillance system, we can ensure broad coverage of the facility with fewer cameras, helping us maintain standards and stay within our budget.”

“Picture quality is so amazing that I thought it was too good to be true.”

“Coreveillance is, by far, the BEST camera system that I have EVER worked with.”
