air for houses, offices and similar places etc. It is an electrical alarm apparatus

that is located in a fixed place that works constantly that can give out a visual and

audible alarm.

Areas of Use

It is an electrical apparatus operating constantly in households when fixedly

installed. It is used in natural gas or LPG consuming or storing places such as

residence, office, workplace, plant, storage, kitchen and bath in which gas leak

and accumulation may occur. It may not be used in boats, caravans, mobile

houses and industrial and commercial installations for which different standards

are applied.

Operation

It shall be attached importance to places having the biggest potential of gas

accumulation while determining location of the gas alarm device. The apparatus

shall not be located on following places:

-Over the oven and chimney hood

-Smelly places

-Near to vacuuming fan(exhaust fan etc.)

-Directly over a sink

-Closed places(e.g. inside a cupboard or behind curtain)

-Vaporous places

-Near to door or window

-A place of which temperature is under 0℃and over +55℃

-A place in which dirt and dust may block the detector

-Wet and moist places

-Gas detector shall be assembled in an area which air movements may not be

blocked by furniture or wares.

-Location of the detector shall not be very close to apertures and ventilation

channels as air stream may be greater and gas concentration may decrease.

-The apparatus shall not be assembled over or near to gas apparatuss as small

gas leakages that may lead to undesired alarms will occur when it starts to operate.

Maintenance

What to do In Case of Alarm

You may clean exterior surface of the apparatus, unplug the device before

cleaning. You may use a wet duster to clean exterior surface of the apparatus.

Never use chemical substances such as spray, polish, detergent etc. The user

shall not perform any repairing.

If the apparatus indicates an alarm signal or you smell gas odor without a signal,

keep calm and perform the following operations.

*Shut off the gas source from the main gas control-valve and/or from storage

tank(if LPG).

*Close gas valves and gas tools(i.e. cookers) starting from the closest one.

*Open the doors and windows in order to increase ventilation.

*Do not use lighter or matches, put our your cigarette. Put out all the open fires,

smoky materials, sources that may cause spark and fire, do not make them

operable once again.

*Do not touch any electrical hardware including gas detecting apparatus, do not

open or close them, do not interfere to their plugs(fuses, door bell, electric

switches etc). Leave the open and closed ones in their current position.

*Do not use mobile phone and radio-set against the risk of spark.

*Extinguish fire, if any. Extinguish all naked fire including all the smoky materials.

*Call gas distribution company from a suitable location.

9. The apparatus gives out visual and audible alarm. Visual and audible alarm

continues until ambient gas volume falls below alarm set point.

10. Apply for the service if the yellow led light on the apparatus flashes.

7. Press the test button, the three lights flash.

8. You may use the gas of a lighter to test detection of the apparatus. Keep

lighter gas upon holes of the product and wait in this position while applying

gas to the apparatus.

3. Wait for 1 minute for warm-up of the apparatus; do not apply test gas

meanwhile because it will not be detected even if it is applied.

4. In the state of warm-up, if the apparatus has voice alarm function, pressing the

test button can switch language(Chinese and English language switching).

5. In the state of warm-up, long pressing the test button will skip warm-up. (Note:

Don’t skip warm-up.)

6. Warm-up finished, the green led light is always on.

Installation

Natural gas that is comprised of methane gas is lighter than air, in case of gas

leakage; gas rises towards ceiling and accumulates in areas near ceiling.

Therefore, for natural gas, the alarm apparatus shall be located in a position of

30 cm under the ceiling and 1.5-4 meter(s) away from gas supply. LPG that is

comprised of mixture of propane and butane is heavier than air. In case of gas

leakage, LPG falls down to ground. Therefore, for LPG, the alarm apparatus

shall be located in a position of 30 cm above the floor and 1.5-4 meter(s) away

from gas supply.

Considerations and Warnings

Vapor of alcohol and similar substances, spray, very intense cigarette smoke,

torch gas, cleaning agents and chemical substances with very strong odors,

very intense meal and water vapors may cause to alarm to malfunction by

misleading the apparatus.

This product is only used to reduce the accident, cannot make sure everything.
