burners, depending on the ambient temperatures,

    thus saving energy cost.

    5. A built in gas regulator, makes combustion more stable

    6. A built in oxygen depletion monitor automatically shirts

off the unit, when low residual oxygen levels

(60% of normal) is detected in the room

    (Only Selected Model)

    7. An onboard timer, switches off the unit, after twenty

minutes of use, preventing high concentration of toxic

    gases

    8. A high sensitive "flame out" sensor cuts off gas supply

    if flame goes out unexpectedly.

    9. An over heat thermal cutout puts off the water heater

when the outlet water temperature exceeds a factory

    set safe value.

    10. Advanced energy-saving combustion technology

    improves thermal efficiency.

    11. Low water pressure (0.01mpa~0.6mpa) ignition,

suitable for use at locations with low water

    pressure.

INSTALLATION METHOD(Optional for Flue Pipes )

Drill proper holes on the wall according to the

dimensions of the heater.. Pictures along side show

the dimensions and layout of flue pipe installation.

    Operation Method

    1. Preparation Before Ignition :

Make sure the type of gas used complies with thatstipulated on the label.

Ensure proper ventilation is maintained in the room.

    Turn on the gas valve.

    2. Ignition:

Turn the water flow knob (make sure there is water

flowing out of the outlet pipe), the heater will turn on

with a" clicking" ignition sound. The burner is ignited

and hot water flows out instantly. If the water pressure

is too low, turn the water volume knob to "MAX."

position, if still there is no ignition, it is because the

water pressure is too low or the battery installed

    incorrectly.

After initial installation or a change of gas cylinder, airmay remain in the gas pipe and it requires several

ignition attempts to push the air out of the pipe before

the gas can be ignited. If a problem comes up after

normal operation, turn off the water immediately. Try to

    re-ignite after 10-20 seconds

Turn the water flow knob to regulate the water flow and

therefore the temperature. Turn the flame control knob

to regulate the flame of the burner and also thus control

    the hot water temperature.

A burner control knob allows you to select the number

of burners in operation. Select 1 or 2 or both burners

depending upon the season. This feature saves

    precious energy and costs.

Shut-off the water flow and the water heater willautomatically stop operating.

    Test outlet water temperature

    with back of your hand

    before use. to avoid scalding.

Turn off the gas valve after each

    use. (FIG.11)

    3. Burner selector knob

    Depending on seasons / water

    flow conditions, turn the burner

selector knob to position 1 or 2 or

both burners to be used, so

as to get the most comfortable

    water temperature and also save

    energy cost.

    Cautions for safety

    Gas leak prevention

Always check all the gas pipe connections, with soap

solutions to check whether it has gas leak. In case of

gas leak, shut off the gas supply and open the

windows immediately. Under such condition, ignition,

switching on/off the electric power supply are strictly

prohibited to avoid explosion and fire (FIG.12)

Check whether the flame is extinguished after each

use. Always turn off the gas valve when not in use

    (FIG.11)

Check the gas tube regularly, as it

may age and crack after long

period o f use. Replace it if

    cracked. Under normal operations,

the gas tube should be replaced

    yearly.

For LPG users, if the flame of the

heater is not stable, it may be caused by a defective

pressure regulator connected to the outlet of the

gas cylinder. In that case, stop using the heater

immediately and contact authorized gas service

    technician.

For PNG users, if the flame of the heater is not stable,

it may be caused by the instability of the gas

pressure. Stop using the heater immediately andcontact the gas supply agency.

    Fire accident prevention

Always shut off the main gas supply

    valve before retiring to bed.

Do not place inflammables like towel

or cloth near the flue outlet or the air

    inlet. (FIG.13)

    Do not pile inflammables, explosives

or volatile materials near the heater.

    (FIG.14)

For LPG users, do not place the

cylinder tilted or inverted or on its side.

    Prevention of excessive Carbon

    Monoxide concentration

As in all gas appliances like your cooking stove, the

burning of gas consumes large amount of air and

produces some amount of poisonous carbon

    monoxide. Carbon Monoxide concentrations above

a certain level is injurious to life, therefore, the heater

must be fixed in a ventilated location. Keep exhaust

fans running, if provided or else, windows and. the

    ventilation ducts always open. .

PNG users. When the gas pressure is insufficient,

the carbon deposit in the burner may increase and

affect the efficient use of the heater. In such case,

flame would turn from blue to yellow, Stop using the

heater and contact the gas agency or the service

center. The heater must be installed vertically.

    Prevent injuries to the Eyes

Keep eyes away from the flame indicator window at

a minimum safety distance of 300 mm during

ignition. If the first attempt of ignition fails, wait 10-

20 seconds before the next attempt.

Prevent "no-water" Burning in the Heater

After each use, make sure that the flame is

extinguished when there is no water flow,. If the flame

still exists, switch off the gas valve immediately and

contact the service center, otherwise the heat

exchanger may be damaged due overheating.

    Freezing Prevention

    When temperatures are near 0 C, i t is

recommended that all residual water, in the water

heater is drained out after use, by removing the drain

valve and allowing the water to flow out. Re-Install

the drain valve before using the water heater again.

Freezing of water inside, will permanently damage

    the heat exchanger.

After use and turning off the gas valve, drain outthe hot water in the gas water heater until cold wa te rflows out. Then turn off the water valve.

    Dealing with the Abnormal Conditions

Put off heater when strong adverse wind blow into thebathroom from outside, causing the flame to beunstable. In case of abnormal burning (e.g. back fire ,flame out, yellow flame or black smoke, etc.), unusualsmell, noise etc., keep calm and turn off the gas valve

and contact the service center or the gas dealer.

    Replacement of batteries

The normal life of a pair of batteries is 6 months innormal working conditions.

    Preventing overheating scald

During or immediately after use, do not touch any partof the heater other than the knobs, especially theparts around the f lame check window.

    The following things are normal

When the water pressure is lower than 0.03Mpa,(Less than 5 PSI) the heater cannot be ignited.

The drain valve dripping, When the water pressure istoo high, the drain valve will release the water so as toreduce the pressure to protect the heater.

When the heater is supplying hot water to severalpoints at the same time, the hot water flow would bereduced,

During use, the heater will automatically be turnedoff after 20 minutes of continuous use. This is a s afe tyfeature.

When the heater shuts off due to over temperature itwill not ignite immediately. Shut off the gas supply, allow the cold water to flow out for about 30 seconds(to cool and reset the thermal cut out) beforeattempting to reignite.

When the voltage of the battery is less than 2.1V, theheater will not ignite, replace the batteries.

    Maintenance

Check the gas tube / pipe regularly for any defects.

Contact service center/ gas agency for any doubt.Clean the water filter mesh regularly.

Check for gas / water leak regularly.

When the flame turns from blue to yellow with blacksmoke, contact the service center immediately forhelp

It is recommended that, every six months, the heatexchanger and burners are checked and serviced bya qualified technician to ensure efficient working ofthe heater. Contact our authorised service center.

Clean the soot on the ignition electrode regularly toensure the successful ignition.

Always keep the cover of the heater clean.
