Products from various reputable manufacturers are available depending on the application. Piston Rods: Stainless steel or Tungsten carbide coated. Valves: Stainless steel plate type are used in most applications. PACKAGING Units are available partially or fully packaged to RIX standard configurations or to customer specifications. Electric motors are coupled via heavy duty V-belt drives. Customer defined accessories are routinely incorp- orated into RIX packages, and the units are fully factory tested at design pressures and flow. SPECIFICATIONS Horsepower Range: to 250 BHP Pressure Range: to 7500 PSIG (500 Bar) Displacement: RIX 2M compressors feature heavy-duty crosshead construction with two vertical cylinders and full water cooling. The guide cylinders and distance piece are cast into the crankcase for strength and rigidity. CONSTRUCTION Crankcase: Pressure lubricated with shaft-mounted oil pump and full flow oil filter. Auxiliary pump as required. Bearings: Tapered roller with sleeve type center main and connecting rod bearings. Bronze wrist pin bushings. Cylinders: Cast iron, or machined steel for higher pressures. Stainless liners available where required. Cooling: Efficient water cooling through large passageways in heads, cylinders, gas packings and guide cylinders. up to 1200 CFM (1 Stage) up to 700 CFM (2-3 Stage) up to 350 CFM (4 Stage) Cylinders: 1 to 4 Stages Diameters to 14 Single or double-acting Stroke: 6 inches (152 mm) Speed: 200 – 650 RPM Typical Gases: Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Argon, Helium, Natural Gas, Dry Air ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■
