WELCOMEMy life

through a lens

Hi my name is Gary and I’m an established versatile wedding photographer and I strive to make your wedding day as re-laxed as possible. I am an immersive photographer and I try to make as low an impact on the natural flow of events on your day, so that you can look back and relive your wedding moments.

What sparked your interest in photography?My dad always had a camera when I was lit-tle which I played with and thought was really cool: so it started from an early age but didn’t really grow until the digital era. I worked with computers for awhile then, in about 2001 when the first DLSR digital cameras came out, my interest was sparked again so the two went hand in hand.

Why did you decide to specialise in wedding photography?I started doing wedding photography for friends and family as they kept asking me, as well asthe glamour, fashion andcommercial, and then when more people started to ask I decided to set up a YourWeddingMoments.com parallel to my other work.

What is your style?I have a really relaxed reportage & documenta-ry style and approach to a wedding, to make it as informal as possible so the bride, groom and guests also stay relaxed. Obviously if a bride wants it more formal then I can accommodate this but generally the day leans towards a more documentary style.

What do you do when you have a “Bridezilla”?I’m actually quite good with a “Bridezilla”; I’m quite good atcalming people and reassuring them that everything will be fine. I tend to find that it’s usually after the wedding that brides are unhappy but I can always fix whatever it is they don’t like. Even if sometimes perhaps I wouldn’t agree, I will always do whatever it takes to make sure the bride is happy.

How do you remain unobtrusive at a wedding?I use longer fast lenses so I can shoot at a dis-tance, and always move around in soft shoes so

as not to make too much noise – there’s nothing worse than hearing footsteps during the ceremo-ny. Also I try to use the natural available light as much as possible and don’t use the flash unless I have to or I’m trying to create a dramatic lighting effect.

What is it like to capture such special moments for others?I’m really surprised actually at how much I enjoy shooting weddings. I enjoy the challenge and love the satisfaction of capturing a particular person doing something while they aren’t aware I’m tak-ing their picture. Capturing the spirit ofthe day, a laugh or expression, is what it’s all about.

What designs, albums, etc., do you offer?I offer prints, digital photo books and albums in-cluding Queensberry and Italian GraphiStudio and Evaluna. I use mainly print labs in the UK, includ-ing Ilford Labs who specialise in black and white prints using real silver gelatin photographic pa-per, so I can offer very high quality blackand white prints using my specialist conversion process toproduce images that brides always find beautiful and timeless.

What do you love the most about your job?Visiting different places up and down the coast and inland and across to Morocco & Portugal – no two weddings are the same so it’s always a chal-lenge which I love.

What do you when you’re not doing your job?I love to travel and scuba dive and have a blast on my sports bike with my partner (and associate photographer & videographer) Rebecca.

FAQ’s

How do I book you for my wedding?Simple! I require a 40% deposit and a signed contract to secure your date.

How many final images will I get?That depends on how many hours I am shooting. It varies between 150 and300 per hour so up to a possible 2500 final hi-res images. I weed out dupli-cates and duds to give you a cohesive story of the day. They will all be show-cased online in a private viewing & ordering gallery for all of your family and friends to see.

Do you give the client the rights to the pictures?Yes! With high resolution discs I give my clients permission to print from the disc.

Will the hi-res files be edited?Yes, all of the final images will be colour and exposure corrected and somewill be converted to black and white. I also do slight facial retouching if necessary.

I don’t see a package I want. Can you custom create a package for me?Yes, I can create a package that suits your needs. Just start with Level 1 and add from there. These packages are only guidelines in case you don’t know what you want.However, there are special discounts built in for each package after Level 1 soyou might want to take advantage of the savings!

Do I have to buy and album now or can I add it on later?You can always add it on later if you change your mind. I offer a la carte pric-ing so you can decide what’s important instead of me telling you what you should have in your package.

How quickly will I be able to see my photos?I place the draft proof viewing gallery online normally with 2-3 days of your wedding.

Do you take formal pictures?Yes, I take formal pictures in addition to my candid and creative shots. Having these formal pictures of your family is something everyone eventu-ally wants and you will be glad to have them once all is said and done. This will only take about 30 minutes and it can easily be done either before or after the ceremony.

More and more couples are opting for a “First Look” which is a private mo-ment when you and your fiancé first see each other before the ceremony. This saves on a lot of time after the ceremony so that you can enjoy your cocktail hour too!If you would like more creative shots of the Bride/Groom and the bridal party at various locations then set aside another 30 minutes to one hour.

All Video are shot in high definition video and audio is recorded using professional broadcast quality micro-phones and wireless microphones for the best audio visual quality. We also carry equipment backup as a precau-tion. Videos are shot in a documentary and discreet fashion following your day and your photographer, so we stay out of the way and are unobtrusive.

VIDEO DVD “HIGHLIGHTS” PACKAGEThis package is ONLY available when booked in conjunction with a Photogra-phy Package. This package is designed for those who don’t want full video coverage but who want video cover-age of the ‘highlights’ or those ‘special moments’ of their wedding day i.e. Ceremony, Speeches, Cake Cutting, First Dance etc. The DVD will be a very simple in camera edit of your day taken within the coverage period of your photo package.Cost is 50% of your chosen Photo Pack-age cost.eg. DISC (DVD)You may additionally purchase a Digital Negatives Photo DVD which contains all the original digital photos (digital negatives) and retouched versions of your photos so that you can re-print or reproduce them yourselves i.e. develop more 6x4’s, 5x7’s, 6x8’s, A4’s or Canvas Prints etc. as many times as you wish. The DVD also serves as your personal backup of your wedding or event. Price of the photo DVD below is dependent on your hour’s coverage of your photo package. The DVD is supplied in a silver metal presentation storage box with clear round window and personalised printed DVD (photo + text).

DOWNLOADThe photo order download service is available for you to download your wedding photo order from our web server. This then enables you to save your hi-resolution printable ordered pictures to your PC or MAC. You can then burn them to your own CD for backup or further printing at a photo lab as you wish.

You will be sent a link and username & password and your order (A standard compressed PC/MAC ZIP file) can be downloaded as many times as you wish for a 1 month period. Price of the download be-low is dependent on your hour’s coverage within your photo package with a further saving on postage. A broadband internet connection is recommended for this option.

The above Photo DVD and Download options assigns full reproduction copyright release over to you so that you have absolute control over your reprints and enlargements. You don’t have to come back to us and this will save you a considerable amount of money overall. The exception of this copyright release is that images cannot be used for publication or sale unless with prior permission from us first.

All our photos are taken in RAW colour but they can be individually processed to true Black & White images. Instead of printing them on colour photographic paper in Black & White we can offer you those to be printed on professional Black and White photographic papers as true Black & White prints as an up-grade option. These are the advantages:

All the digital prints are produced on genuine ILFORD Black and White silver gelatin photographic paper. We believe this is as close as you can get to a traditional B&W darkroom print from a digital file and has significant benefits when compared to B&W images produced from colour processes; Prints have a consistent and neutral image tone (no colour cast). Strong blacks and detailed highlights. Bright white base for stunning black and white photographs. Superb quality and robustness. The Black and White images are printed on professional real silver gelatin photo-graphic paper and are printed at a separate specialist lab. The sizes I can do are:

The additional cost is 10-70€ per print (depend-ing on size and quantities) and because they come from a separate lab direct to you I will need to add 7€ P&P. Papers are available in Gloss or Pearl paper (I have samples at the studio) and send me the order numbers, quan-tities and sizes separately and I will be able to cost it up for you.

Boudoir shoots can take place on your wedding day just prior to you getting ready or in your own home if you prefer to be in your own familiar surroundings. This is the most popular choice for a boudoir photo shoot as it adds the person feel of your own home to the photo-graphs.

We also use many fantastic Hotels around the Costa del Sol and our studio days throughout the year.

Our packages are flexible so if you don’t find what you want here just contact us with your requirements.

PRE WEDDING “GETTING READY” SHOOT €125Shoot takes 30 minutes in your bridal suite / Hotel / Villa private shoot on your build up to getting ready. This will be pre arranged and discussed in our pre wedding meeting. These photos are added to your wedding photography package.

ESSENTIAL BOUDOIR SHOOT €1751 hour 30 minutes Shoot with up to two cloths changes. You will then receive a proof disk containing all the re-touched images at screen resolution. Also includes three 12”x8” prints of your choice. You can then order more prints, a coffee table book or luxury album at any time. You could also purchase the full resolution disk if you want to arrange your own printing for an extra £100.

BOUDOIR COFFEE TABLE BOOK €249The shoot takes 2 hours then we produce a 20 page 10”x8” size Coffee Table Book containing a selection of images. The pictures are retouched and airbrushed where necessary. All the images we shoot can also be supplied to you on a CD in full resolution so you can print more pictures if you want for an extra €95

DISC ONLY €225This is the same shoot as the Coffee Table Book package but all the pictures are supplied on disc at full resolution so you can then arrange your own printing if you wish. You can also supply a coffee table book, luxury album or prints at any time.

LUXURY ALBUM €395The shoot takes 2 to 3 hours then we produce 20 9”x6” prints presented in a luxury bookbound album. The pictures are retouched and airbrushed where nec-essary. With the vows taken and the honeymoon over, most brides shake down their wedding dress, wrap it in acid-free tissue paper and pack it away, never to be seen again. But there is another option. A growing number of brave brides have chosen to throw cau-tion to the wind and their big-day dresses to the elements. The idea behind Trash the Dress is simple - instead of letting your gown fester in the back of a cupboard, slip it back on for a Photoshoot where it gets possibly destroyed, dirty or wet (it’s up to you how little or far you want to go!) and you end up with some distinctive pho-tographs that are a world away from traditional wed-ding portraits.

OK SO WE WANT TO BOOK YOU ... WHAT NOW?

Great! If you would like to go ahead a book one of my packages then contact me by email or via my contacts page on my website and let me know which package and/or options you would like. We can also arrange a meeting to discuss your day in my studio or if that’s not convenient for you we can have a chat over the phone or arrange a video meeting over Skype or FaceTime. If not we can ar-range it all by email as well.

If none of the packages suit your needs then I can create a custom bespoke package for you or you can choose from my Al La Carte Menu (See page 20)

I will then send you a booking confirmation and deposit invoice. To secure your booking I require a 40% deposit that can be paid in Euro or Pounds Sterling into either my UK or Euro accounts or via PayPal if you wish.

Once I have received your deposit your date is secured in my diary. I will then send you a small questionnaire to cover some basic itiner-ary information about your day, delivery address, other service sup-pliers, wedding planner details etc and your mobile contact informa-tion etc for my records.

Final balance is required by the end of the wedding day or you can do the final balance transfer a day or 2 before the wedding if you wish.
