EMPLOYMENT HISTORYNetwork Planner- Astute Programme Support - BAE Systems Submarines Solutions, Barrow, 2013-Present ● Currently working on the Astute Class Submarines Boat 6 rector Compartment.

Responsible for maintaining, updating & progressing of the Reactor Compartment Programme.

Monitoring of critical paths and float within the reactor Programme & integrating data into the whole Boat 6 Programme.

Identifying and tracking all changes or potential changes to the project baseline and subsequent underpinning of control mechanisms.

● Creation of a number of ‘what if’ plans produced and presented to key stakeholders with a view to analysing impacts such as resource profiling, risk to related work and the overall costing implications to the Astute Boat 6 programme.

Establishing contract specific baseline schedules with robust change management and progress control. Management of the project scope and the prevention of / identification and escalation of scope creep.

Cost Engineer/Estimator - Astute Programme Support - BAE Systems Submarine Solutions, Barrow 2010 - 2013

Development of man hour budgets at activity level to support EVM in the submarine build programme using knowledge and experience gained from working on-board submarines, on-board visits to assess scopes of work, viewing of engineering drawings, liaising with team leaders and interrogating historical data.

Budgeting of Pipe Modules. Creating budgets for installation of pipe modules. Currently a new concept within the company and budgets and costs are vital in justifying the cost and programme benefits. Budgets allocated to a module are monitored against progress and actual hours booked. Any issues are highlighted in meetings with Operations and Build Strategy.

Opportunity Cost Analysis. Costing of possible savings that can be achieved from realising opportunities against the cost of implementation to assist management decisions.

Providing independent Estimate at Completion figures for Boat Management Teams.

Dimension Control Engineer – BAE Systems Submarines. (2005 – 2010)Working between Dimensional control and Quality control department, use of Tcr’s and Monmos digital sighting equipment and also theodolites and dumpy levels. QC department involves checking various mechanical procedures and use of data bases.

Assistant Supervisor – Dowding and Mills(June 2001 – January 2005)

Various work carried out in workshop and on site. Strip down of gearboxes, valve pumps inspections and rebuild. Site work includes Quarries, Steelwork, Water Treatment Plant, Power Stations, RAF bases, Battery Plant, Plymouth Naval Base.Installation of pumps, pipework, gearboxes, hoppers, machinery and all mechanical work.Strip down and rebuild of pumps, gearboxes, valves, conveyor systems and machinery.Shrink fitting of bushes, shafts using liquid nitrogen.
