Section 15-1

Casings and Bases Garrison Industries utilizes many combinations of edge profiles to produce a multitude of bases and casings. All profiles on these pages are not drawn to actual size. There may be slight variations between the drawings and actual profiles. We recommend you obtain a sample for situations requiring very accurate dimensions.

Custom Mouldings If you cannot find the mouldings that suit your needs in our stocked moulding selection, we will be glad to produce any custom moulding you desire. Center and edge profiles on our standard bases and casings can be mixed and matched in various combinations to create the custom profile that suits your requirements. Stock is available up to 9 inches wide, in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4 thickness.

Set-up Charges on Custom Mouldings Set-up charges may be applied to custom moulding orders. Contact our order desk for pricing.

Custom Knife Grinding We specialize in milling mouldings to match existing millwork. Knives can be ground to match any pattern or profile that cannot be found in this catalogue. We can produce knives from a sample of an existing moulding, architectural drawings, tracing or paper pattern. Custom orders can generally be delivered within 2 weeks. We also have an inventory of custom knives. Knives remain the property of Garrison Industries Ltd.

Length We buy our wood in random lengths and produce the optimum length of moulding according to each particular use. Unless specified, mouldings are produced in random lengths varying from 8 to 16 feet.

Please allow for a 10-15% waste factor when ordering.

Orders that require specified lengths may be subject to a 15% surcharge.

Section 15-2

Materials Virtually any profile can be run in any species such as African Mahogany (Sapele), Ash, Beech, Birch, Fir, Maple, Oak to name a few. Please inquire about pricing and lead times.

All materials must be inspected and signed for by customer upon pick up and/ or delivery to insure Profile and Quantities are correct.

Garrison Industries uses North American Poplar for all its mouldings, unless a special species requests is made.

All raw moulding may have natural color variations due to characteristics of the wood type.

Finishing

Garrison Industries provides a pre-finishing service for your mouldings. Our paint and stain finishes are among the most consistent and can be matched to existing furniture or from color samples provided.

Installation

We at Garrison Industries take pride in our Moulding installation process. We install both paint grade or stain grade mouldings with the same high level of quality and precision.

Minimums

Delivery charge may apply on all moulding orders. Delivery outside of the G.T. Area - Special pricing may apply.
