• Potsshouldalwayshavedrainageholes,butplaceonsaucers/traystopreventsurfacestaining.Italsohelpsretainextrawaterduringsummerheat.

• Alwayswaterpriortoplantingorpottingon.

• Preparesoilsaheadofplanting.Forthebestestablishment,workincredicompost®andincredibloom®fertiliserintothegrowingarea.Thesewillalsogiveyouthebestresultsincontainersdisplaystoo.Alternativelyoptforregularliquidfeedsthroughtheseason,startingat6weeksafterplanting.

Feeding:Regularfeedingshouldbegin6-8weeksafterplantingintothegroundorcontainers;thiswillenhanceyourplants.Generalfertiliserswillbesufficientifappliedasrecommended.Toproducequalitybloomsmanygardenersusehighpotashlownitrogenfeedssuchastomatoplantfood.Specialistcontainerandbasketfeedsareavailableandproducegoodresults.Neveroverfeedasthismayharmyourplants.Asplantsareoftencrowdedincontainerssomepruningmayberequiredinadditiontothenormalpracticeofremovingfadedbloomsandpruningbackstragglygrowth.Donotlettheplantsproduceseedheadsasthisoftenmeansthattheywillstopflowering.

Deadheading: Itisalwayswisetoremoveoldspentbloomsonaregularbasisasthiswillencouragemorebloomstoreappearandcreateacleaner,longerlastingdisplayallsummer.
