Atlanta Braves No. 22 overall prospect LHP Tucker Davidson faces off against Chicago Cubs’ No. 19 prospect RHP Tyson Miller. This marks the second-straight season that the M-Braves and Smokies have faced each other to open the year. The M-Braves took the five-game series last season at Trustmark Park, 3-2 and lead the all-time series, 79-77. This is the first road series to begin a season since 2008. This is just the fourth time in 15 sea- sons that Mississippi has opened a season away from Trustmark Park. LAST TIME OUT: For the third-consecuve day the final score between the Smokies and M-Braves was 4-3. On Sunday it was the Smokies coming from behind to win and secure the series victory. Making his first start since 2017, Patrick Weigel walked three baers in just 2/3 of an inning, but Jeremy Walker provided solid relief, giving up just one run on four hits over the next 5.1 innings, walking none and striking out four. TODAY’S GAME: The M-Braves and Tennessee Smokies wrap up the series-opening five-game series at Smokies Stadium. Atlanta Braves No. 22 overall prospect LHP Tucker Davidson faces off against Chicago Cubs’ No. 19 prospect RHP Tyson Miller.

This marks the second-straight season that the M-Braves and Smokies have faced each other to open the year. The M-Braves took the five-game series last season at Trustmark Park, 3-2 and lead the all-time series, 79-77.
